I have been treated by Dr Shulka for over 10 years. She took her time in diagnosing my mood disorder. We worked together to determine the most effective treatment. My mood disorder improved quickly and permanently. Dr Shulka saved my life and allowed me to live a much fuller life. She tells me the truth and never pulls any punches and also carefully listens to my concerns. She has met with my entire family over the years and ensures I have their support.

BEWARE! Dr. Shukla caused our mother severe brain trauma requiring hospitalization twice while in her care. After doubling her medication dosage our mother lost her ability to form complete sentences and have coherent thought. Alarmed, we brought her in to be examined immediately. Dr. Shukla chose to ignore our mother’s extreme display of symptoms. This resulted in her hospitalization. The first time was due to lithium poisoning. If you care about your loved ones avoid this doctor like the plague.

Dr Shukla saved my life. I had been really ill but because of her I went on to go to college and get a BS in applied math and a job. I am very grateful to know her.

Dr Shukla has been my doctor for more than ten years. She has been most understanding, compassionate, provides good advice and helps me to deal with the stress in my life. She has met my family and friends which gives her insight into my issues. She is supportive and nonjudgmental which allows me to go forward in my own thinking. I have had ups and downs, but Dr Shukla helps me get back on a more positive “ track”!

Dr. Shukla has literally changed my life. She has the skill to navigate being a consummate professional while remaining exceedingly kind and compassionate. I personally think she is brilliant, and did not give up until she found the right combination of meds and therapy for my treatment, She was especially cognizant to any side effects caused by my medicines. When one med seemed to cause nausea she insisted I have a specialist become involved. I have been in the Doctor's care for nearly 6 years and would recommend her highly.

Dr. Shukla is one of the most professional and wonderful doctor's I have had the pleasure of knowing. As far as I'm concerned, she is the quintessential doctor of doctors. I have been a patient of Dr. Shukla for a number of years. In all that time I have found her to be a woman of impeccable character and outstanding professionalism. She is extremely insightful, and her knowledge of her chosen field of Psychiatry is an asset to all her patients. After many years of facing chronic depression, Dr. Shukla was recommended to me by my primary physician. Immediately upon meeting with me she diagnosed the problem and began an individualized treatment plan which proved to be very successful. It is with the highest regard that I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shukla to anyone suffering from any form of psychological problems.

I have been treated by Dr. Shukla for 15 years. She has always been accurate in her diagnosis and spent plenty of time with me. She offers me great insight into my emotional needs. She has always tried new medications to get the optimal result and fewest side effects. She has also saved my marriage. She is extremely professional and kind and spends time listening to me. I don't know what I would do without her.

First consultation was encouraging and thought she was fine.....after that it was all downhill...she insisted that I take a drug that was not agreeing with me....I had a stomach problem and she told me to take a antacid......she did change to another drug and when I researched it, it was not for me...when I went for my half hour visit, she was throwing me out ten minutes before the time was up...she actually stood up and went to the door. I felt she had a very condescending attitude.....

Honestly it was pretty poor. Dr. Shukla and her staff are consumed in their schedules and don't take the actual time out to help the patient and their needs. They stick to their schedule and it almost seems as if Dr. Shukla and her staff could not care more about your mental health, which is interested considering that's the issue. I wouldn't recommend her.
