Dr. Joshi should be fired and will have to deal with karma one day for the pain and illness she has caused me and many other children. She takes vacations to Hawaii and gets paid to over prescribe children the rX meds that pay for said vacation, and tests teens like theyre guinea pigs giving out pills like theyre candy. I and a person i know who both went to her both almost died because of the incredibly disturbing side effects caused by her negligence and greed.

Stay away from her
I kept telling Dr. Joshi that I wasn’t feeling better with the medication she prescribed so she kept increasing the dosage instead of changing the medication. She increased it to the point where I had to go to the emergency room in an ambulance. My family called her to ask for help then, since it was due to her prescription, and she hung up on them saying how “the ER doctors will handle it”. I had to switch psychiatrists because Dr. Joshi started shaming my body and saying that it was my fault I wasn’t responding correctly. The new doctor I saw said this dosage was way too high and was livid. She changed my medicine and thankfully I’ve been better since. But I almost died because of Dr. Joshi. Stay away from her. She should not be allowed to practice medicine.

I saw her for 4+ years from age 14-18. I was having a rough time in highschool. She then diagnosed as bipolar. Furthermore she put me on over 10 diff Rx medications, heavy dosages, that made me physically ill and my symptoms actually got worse (mixing both lithium with mood stabilizers, anti-depressants and more which were cancelling each-other out and making things way worse for me). I then at age 24, after 10 years of being on those meds, got re-evaluated and turns out, whoops ! I'm not bipolar. I'm now 33 and have been off meds for about 10 years. Not bi-polar and feeling quite well. Never touched a medication again. Highly recommend that this doctor no longer is able to "treat" children...

I've encountered her on multiple occasions. She was always curt, pressed for time, and unwilling to work with the patient's family. The times I've witnessed her patients argue with her, she makes it quite clear her opinion is always right. I can say she's great at diagnosing a problem, but the overall level of care she provides is awful.

I am a mental health provider and I contacted Dr. Joshi to discuss a patient of hers who was returning to the community from an inpatient hospitalization. Dr. Joshi was incredibly rude and hung up the phone on me.
