Knowledgeable, Patient, and Compassionate
Dr. Swofford took the time to listen to my full history and asked me questions to clarify, she then offered me step by step practical solutions. Dr. Swofford does not rush you or ridicule, she doesn't make you feel silly for asking a question, and she is so knowledgeable. She explains tests fully before and after, she doesn't scare you by catastrophizing or doom talk, she just takes it one step at a time. Her communication is fantastic, she follows up quickly and each time I've come to an appointment I've gotten in to see her fast. I don't enjoy going to the doctor it has always been a very stressful experience, but Dr. Swofford has a calming air and she makes it almost pleasant. It's like seeing a family doctor in the movies, it's really nice. I cannot recommend her enough, and will be encouraging everyone I know to see her and PRAYING that she never leaves this practice.

Caring and Thorough
Our entire family has been seeing Dr. Swofford for the last 18 years. As a resident, she delivered my first child. We were so happy that she stayed in Columbia after her residency. She also delivered our second child. She is very caring, friendly, down to earth, and thorough in her care. We 100% trust her with all our family healthcare needs and appreciate her level of connection that she makes with her patients.
