Needs a better bedside manner
I agree with the other reviews about how Dr Strickland treats patients. It's like you are an object she's evaluating rather than a person. She can be very dismissive about a worry rather than empathetic. She needs to realize that older patients especially can become worried easily about yet another affliction. We know that in our advancing age that something that may seem minor to a young doctor like she is can be very scary for us until evaluated. Because at our age, cancers, arthritis, and maladies could end up serious. I have arthritis. In my spine, my feet, hands, & knees. It is something that will not be getting better, but worse as I continue aging. It is not something I'm looking forward to. Because of my arthritis, I am starting to feel my age. This has made me to start feeling devalued. So, when a Dr treats you dismissively, it only adds to the pain, not only of the arthritis, but as a person. This is why empathy is important from a Dr even if something seems minor.

Rushed, Unpersonable, Mistakes
Strickland makes it feel like she doesn't want to even be in the room with you. She's rushed, very clipped in responses to questions, no empathy to patient issues. During the follow up visit she looks at the wrong part of the xray and says everything is fine when the original visit showed the fracture in a totally different part of the bone. It's no wonder she always has availablity. Would not recommend - I'd rather wait an extra couple of weeks in pain than use her again.

Barely glanced at my feet. Wrote in her note that she did an exam, but that is not true. No guidance or help given. Disappointed, avoid. Seeing her is a waste of your time.Office was clean and office staff was nice

Dismissive
Dr Strickland offered no patient care, no advice, no treatment, no plan, and no follow up. I showed up on time and was a cooperative, communicative patient with a common and straightforward podiatry problem. Unfortunately, her behavior was dismissive and hostile. I am confused and disappointed. She advised me to go to a different podiatrist, perhaps one not in the state of Pennsylvania.

Disappointed – Mar 19, 2024

visited for first time to a podiatrist.
Terrible visit. she was more interested in reading and typing into her computer than investigating my condition. I don't know if it's podiatry as a profession or simply she isn't a very good doctor. Either way, I'll never go back, it was a complete waste of my time and money.

Dr. Strickland was rude and dismissive of my concerns. I have had foot pain for two years and recently injured my ankle. She checked my ankle, looked at previous xrays and then told me she would have immobilized my ankle if she had seen me sooner but would leave it up to me to decide if I wanted to have it immobilized now. I told her I would rather not and asked her if she could explain the foot pain that I had for two years. She told me it was probably arthritis but I could make another appointment if I wanted to discuss that because I had only been referred for the ankle pain. Knowing that my ankle was causing me significant pain, she didn't even ask if I needed help getting up from the chair. She walked out of the room before I even got out of the chair. Definitely no chance of going back to her again.
