Unprofessional and poor bedside manner
I contacted Dr. Schoenbrun’s office in March to establish care. They highly recommended her because of her Ivy League education. I was scheduled on the Friday before memorial day weekend. That morning Dr. Schoenbrun canceled her day. I was then scheduled for Friday, July 7th but moved to Monday, July 3rd. Again she cancelled her day, both times before a national holiday. I was shocked at the level of unprofessionalism. I finally met Dr. Schoenbrun. She is the most unprofessional and unfriendly doctor I have ever met at UCLA or anywhere. She told me she was going on maternity leave for four months and I might want to consider seeing another doctor. She also said she’s extremely busy in her practice. I asked her why she couldn’t relay this before I waited almost 5 months to establish care with her. I also reminded her that she canceled on me twice before. Do not waste your time. Shame on UCLA for employing someone lacking professionalism, compassion, and has total disregard for patients.

I had a regular physical scheduled with my new primary care physician, Dr. Schoenbrun, but ended up getting a respiratory infection the day of. Do you know that this doctor refused to see me in person? She wanted to only do a video visit! How does someone look at your throat, take a culture? I’ve never heard of a doctor refusing to see sick people. Does she know why she went to medical school? Finally after much complaining, a kind nurse got me in anyway. I had no symptoms but coughing and took a clean Covid test, but Dr Schoenbrun told me she was afraid she would get sick herself. I can’t believe medical school was wasted on on someone like this. I later sent her an email that the honey and tea she prescribed wasn’t working and I needed something stronger. It took her four days to reply to me. Completely disgusted. I switched doctors . UCLA, you should be ashamed.

Always a rush and spends so little time
Knowledgeable but not the most personable doctor by any means. She is always rushing through visits making the entire experience feel very disrespectful. I would definitely find another doctor
