Just Don't
Dr. Katta was referral from another doctor of mine so I went to her despite reading some poor reviews.... just don't.I've had multiple appointments by now. Each time I arrived 20 minutes early only to be called back an hour late. So in total I sat in the waiting room for 1.5 hours, which gave me ample time to observe how chaotic and dirty it is (I saw both a living and dead lizard in the dust covered fake tree in the lobby).Once I finally got to see Dr. Katta, her bedside manor was polite enough, but extremely hurried and impersonal. It felt like her goal was to get done with my appointment in under 5 minutes. Blood tests that were supposed to be ordered were not - she blamed the labs. She had no recollection that CT scans were previously ordered (by her) but then blamed SimonMed for not sending the results back…SimonMed? They’re pretty reputable. Overall impression: hurried, unorganized, impersonal, forgetful, and casts blame.

Please Avoid
This doctor has a complete lack of empathy, intellect and ability to diagnose. The office is an unorganized nightmare. Avoid.

Compassionate, competent doctor, chaotic office
TLDR: She's competent and compassionate, but her office management is very lacking and she's very busy so expect long wait times for most visits. Detals: Dr. Katta is a competent doctor who was recommended to my wife by her doctor who had been treated for B.C. by her. She is friendly, thorough and doesn't rush you, but that also leads to longer wait times as some people take longer than others. You kind of have to go in with that mindset and understand that she's helping people through a hard time in their lives, so try to be patient and you'll get your time with her too. The downsides are that her office seems to be very disorganized. They are friendly enough, but they are always busy and it seems a bit chaotic at times. They often call to cancel/reschedule your appointment (perhaps Dr. Katta has emergencies to handle, not sure). They also do not do reminder calls like most doctor offices, so you have to keep track yourself.

Worse experience with a Doctor ever. Sarah F Katta is the most unprofessional Doctor I have ever meet. No personal touch, arrogant and extremely rude. My father who is 73, was referred to her for a blood test, Which was done in mid November, she made a virtual appointment for the results for December 1st, she failed the appointment, so I called her office and they said she was behind. So they scheduled a new appointment that she also failed. 12 days has passed, and no one called us. So i decided to call her and she finally contacted me, she gave ridiculous excuses with a rude attitude, blaming on her team, for miss communication. When I was expressing my feedback she cut me and said: “you wanna know your father’s results or not “. This doctor Sarah F Katta doesn’t care about her patients, she is more focused on her weak ego than her professionalism and patients. She also mentioned my father should change doctor because he doesn’t speaks English.

Dr ordered tests. Insurance needs letter of medical necessity to pay. I have asked three times for a letter and have gotten nothing. I am now responsible for a huge bill. I do NOT recommend going to her. Besides the billing issues I found her to be lacking in other important areas that I can’t overlook.

She has access to new treatments and clinical trials. Very respected in oncology as I have done my homework and asked many other doctors in the cancer community. She is involved in research herself and can offer new options. In my opinion she is one of the best.

Dr. Katta treated me for a pulmonary embolism last year. This was a very scary time for me. I never expected this diagnosis and only thought of the worst scenarios. Dr. Katta and her staff helped me overcome my fears and were always available for any questions and concerns. I, honestly, cannot say enough. She is extremely compassionate, caring and knowledgeable. I would highly and ONLY recommend this doctor If you or anyone that you love needs a hematologist/oncologist.

Dr. Sarah Katta has been treating me for CLL leukemia for several years and has been very thorough in analyzing and treating my condition. My condition has gone into remission after her and her excellent staff have provided me with the best treatment available and after careful and thorough tests were conducted. The doctor, her family, nurses, and every staff member are ALL very nice. I actually enjoy my visits. Dr. Sarah is a wonderful care provider and person.
