Shocked and disappointed
I was recommended Dr Finch by my PCP, who I value and respect, but after my first appointment with Dr. Finch I can safely say I’m looking for another OBGYN. Dr. Finch came into the room with the attitude of she’d tell me one thing and be all done. I had numerous questions and was told I was slated for a new patient appointment so I felt I’d have time to ask them. She was very dismissive of my questions and concerns. She admitted that because she felt this was “just supposed to discuss xyz” that she did not read my chart, review my health history or other GYN relative diagnoses. She often said “I’ll do whatever you want to do. So what do you want to do” but I’m the patient and looking to her for guidance and professional help- I don’t know what I want to do in this circumstance! While applauding my weight loss success she continued with but you have a long way to go- while also blaming my symptoms on weight loss… I left feeling defeated, dismissed and in tears.

Horrible experience!!! I was referred to her by one of the doctors at the Fertility Center of Newengland related to 9 wks pregnancy Bleeding. Andover OB called me for an appointment with this doctor, an ultrasound was done and that was it!!!!!. I continued to bleed, pain, and ....... This doctor did not see me or schedule a follow-up appointment for me, neither a virtual follow-up. When I called, I was told that she was fully booked for the next 2 months and I guess my bleeding and my pregnancy were supposed to wait. My conclusion, If you are an African American, don't waste time seeking services here, "The estimated national maternal mortality rate in the United States is about 17 per 100,000–but is about 43 per 100,000 live births for Black women" and this because of doctors like Finch and their clinics......
