Dr. Sarah Choxi, MD

I have seen Dr. Choxi for spinal stenosis, both in her office, and at Garden State Medical in Whiting for cortisone shots in my SI joint with anesthesia.She has always been pleasant, knowledgeable and up-to-date in pain management knowledge. She quickly diagnosed where my pain was coming from and gave me cortisone shots that were effective.

Professional. Put me at ease and thorough

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the care I received during my recent visits to your office. As a patient dealing with chronic pain, I expected compassionate and effective treatment, but unfortunately, my experience fell short of my expectations. Here are some specific instances that highlight my concerns: Lack of Empathy: During my appointments, I felt that my pain was not taken seriously. When I described my symptoms, I expected a more empathetic response.Inadequate Communication: There were times when I needed clarification about my treatment plan or medication adjustments, but it was challenging to reach your office. Clear communication is crucial for patients managing chronic pain. Long Wait Times: Waiting for extended periods in the clinic exacerbated my discomfort. I believe that efficient scheduling and better time management could significantly improve the patient experience. Treatment Alternatives, Follow-Up: Unfortunately, all subject matter was lacking.

How understanding she is with my health issues. She has explained the procedure she does with giving me Cortizone injections near L5 which was fractured and I have surgical cement when I had sugery on my back in 2020. I have been having back issues since the surgery.

A family member has been in and out of rehab due to opiod addiction however continues to get prescriptions from Dr. Choxi.

She looks at me when she talks and knows exactly why I am there. She gives me options for a solution and why.

Quick and efficient

I have suffered from chronic pain for many years and have always been treated with a simple “ hello, here’s your prescription- see you in a month” - simply not the case with Dr Choxi — each visit is a genuine compassionate visit. She takes time to discuss my treatments , make recommendations and always ensures i’m comfortable with my treatment plan. She has made herself available for emergency visits and always ensures me she’s only a phone call away.

She is a great listener and always try to help me with my CP.

She will listen to you and spend time with you. She gets to know her patients and rmbers small details about their lives. Most importantly she really tries to help and I'll try different options if one doesn't work. I never wait very long and staff is always pleasant. All the Drs in this office are amazing!

Dr. Choxi is treating me for small fiber neuropathy. She is very helpful, compassionate, and thinks outside the box. During my time at Garden State Medical Center, Dr. Choxi has tried everything to help treat my pain. I highly recommend her as my doctor!

I have a bad back and I am loaded with arthritis, so I am constantly in a lot of pain. Dr. Choxi has been able to help me decrease my overall pain levels. She is like an undercover angel. I really appreciate everything she has done for me.

I had taken a serious fall in Sept of this year playing pickle ball. Since I have a Harrington Rod in my back, I feared I had a permanent injury. I had gone to the ER twice in pain and unable to walk without help from a walker. I didn’t get much relief there. I made an appt and was seen the next day by Dr Choxi. She went right to the problem and answered questions I had before I had even asked. She’s quick, bright, and best of all, SHE LISTENS. Problem and pain gone within days. I’d recommend her to anyone. She’s tops in my book.

Dr Choxi always takes the time to explain things and what you’re options are my wife and I really like DrChoxi and recommend her to lots of people.

Dr. Choxi was informative and clearly competent for my procedure

Dr. Choxi was the last doctor I saw in reference to a really bad fall I had in 2021. I had been through primary care, neurology, and finally I found Dr. Choxi. She was amazed that I had suffered with pain for that long. I had done multiple injections and eventually did an ablation. The office was stunning, and she was so knowledgeable, friendly, and patient-oriented. I am so pleased with her and thank her for helping with my pain.

Other than the fact that I had to wait over one hour to be seen is the only complaint that I have Dr Choxi is amazing

Dr. Choxi knows her patients very well. I don’t have to go over what’s wrong with me because she already knows. She is very patient and is able to help me even when she is busy. She really cares!
