Dr. Sara Yuen, MD

I should have read the previous reviews, nothing has changed. She did not want to discuss past medicines, stated she wouldn't fill any for me, after I told her I was having issues finding a primary since mine left her practice. She did not want to discuss any issues with me about depression or why or what I was feeling. Did not care about any distress I was having or a past issue I brought up. I tried to bring up menopause and she told me she didn't know if I am in it so she can't help. Told me I am addicted to my birth control because I questioned if I should still be on it at my age, because I had endometriosis. Wouldn't look at me at all and left the office not looking at me, rushed out. She rushed the whole time. She is rude, condescending, unprofessional and did not listen or help me. DO NOT GO TO HER A WASTE OF TIME AND VERY UPSETTING.

I saw this doctor today in place of my regular OB who is on vacation and I can’t believe how rude, condescending and judgmental she was. I am obese but otherwise having a healthy pregnancy (no high blood pressure or diabetes etc) with all ultrasounds so far showing my baby is the perfect size. She was unbelievably out of line, giving me all these recommendations that my regular OB should be doing and acted like the doctors I saw at a hospital the week prior have no idea what they’re doing. I am a pharmacist and know how healthcare providers should conduct themselves and she was very inappropriate and also gave me information that I know is inaccurate.

I went to see Dr. Yuen to establish a care relationship before I started to try to get pregnant so I would have a Dr. ready once I was pregnant. I told her this and we had a great appointment until the end. She told me that if I got pregnant before losing weight I would have a high chance of having a still born. Not a miscarriage, a STILLBORN. She told me I would have to deliver a dead baby because I was fat. I have a spinal condition that has made me disabled and disfigured. I am overweight but the doctors that know me and my body are not worried about it and have told me it is because of my disfigurement and inability to move around without pain and that I could have a baby no problem. Then I go to this OBGYN and she tells me I will have a dead baby because I am so fat. I know people MUCH larger than I am who have many healthy children and have never never had any issues during pregnancy. None of my other Doctors or OBGYNs that I have been to since have even mentioned still birth.
