Terrific Anesthesiologist!
Dr. Norvell was my assigned anesthesiologist on 6/1/22 for my right eye surgery. When I first met her during preop, she was pleasant, professional and friendly. The best part is that as soon as she saw how labored my breathing was due to congestive heart failure, she immediately ordered oxygen to be applied and then took a very detailed history from me about my respiratory and cardiac situation. Then as I went into the OR, she made sure I was positioned properly and stood by my side and held my hand the entire surgery time since I was fully awake and aware due to not being able to have any sedation or anesthesia because of the CHF situation. She made sure I was able to breathe well and adjusted my oxygen flow as needed, helping me to stay calm with her reassuring comments and monitoring of my respiratory rate and pulse, etc. I have NEVER had such good or compassionate care by any anesthesiologist in an OR situation that I know of! Dr. Norvell is top-notch!
