Saved My Life
Dr. Santos Terranova was the only neurologist who was able to diagnose me with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) which I contracted as a result of a flu shot in 2011 and provide the appropriate treatment. I have been his patient ever since. He is extremely competent, professional, proficient and patient, kind & thorough with all of his diagnoses.

Incredible Doctor - Attentive, Personalized Care
Dr. Terranova is an incredible neurologist. He truly listens to his patient's concerns, is attentive and thorough in his care. You know immediately that your health is in the best hands! He is great at following up and giving patients the proper care plan that is unique to them, rather than making you feel like you are just a number. Dr. Terranova's personalized approach can be difficult to find these days and we trust him and his expertise.

Trust: The Hallmark of Compliance
Dr. Terranova is a brilliant doctor. He is knowledgeable and listens intently to his patients. He does not talk over a patient or interject but, carefully pays attention to what he is hearing. As he knows what the patient is experiencing is unique to them. And in listening he is able to determine a course of treatment whether imaging, blood work, referrals or medication. It is a two way street in which the patient must also listen and adhere to the proposed treatment plan to have a better quality of life. His assistant is kind, and diligent in her efforts when scheduling appointments and closer to the appointment date reminder calls are given. Messages to the doctor are relayed in a timely and concise manner. I trusted Dr. Terranova to be my daughter clinician and in turn when I needed neurological care my daughter trusted him with my care. In 8 plus years Dr. Terranova has never made either of us regret our choices. We trust his judgement and believe that he genuinely cares.

A rare find
Dr. T is like a doctor from the "old days"....he takes his time, gets to know you, asks a lot of questions, does a very thorough exam and explains his thoughts and plans. In the world of corporate medicine this is getting harder and harder to find. He is a gem.

UNACCEPTABLE. As a clinican I can understand being busy but ignoring your patient and providing a less than thorough examination is negligible. Not only was the neuro exam inadequate but his follow-up after my aunt's EMG was horrendous. After several phone calls (including messages on the emergency office line) regarding my aunt's increasing pain and requesting the results of her diagnostic studies, we still did not receive a call back from Terranova. Went to a neuro at NYU, huge difference!!
