His overall demeanor is arrogant. He is apparently incapable of conducting a dialogue - as he clearly does not listen and instead overtalks every time one tries to engage in conversation. His general bedside manner simply sucks!

Please please take these reviews serious.
I agree with everything the negative reviews have said about this doctor. He does not listen to your symptoms, he talks over you. He listens to respond. He did a few reflex checks. Please find a neurologist who will listen and really do a full body work up. Someone who is truly passionate about health care of their patients and wanting to get to the bottom of their symptoms. I would recommend if you really need someone to be truly invested into your health care find a different neurologist.

Don't waste your time on this "Doctor"
His bedside manner is horrific. He doesn't let you talk or explain your symptoms before he's interrupting and nonstop talking. He just wants to suggest pills and is not an aggressive doctor to try to find out what's actually going on. Disregards every single you attempt to say. I wouldn't go back to him if he was the last neuro on earth.

Dont Do It – Apr 06, 2022
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Restrepo?
STAY AWAY. Absolutely one of the worst doctors I have ever been to. Prescribed me a medication that gave me serotonin syndrome and after I went to urgent care for IV fluids, he said to continue taking the med as well as add another one. I learned these two meds CANNOT be mixed together and can cause death after speaking to my psychiatrist and pharmacist. He said multiple times they were safe together. He spent less than 10 minutes with me and dismissed me when I had a list of symptoms (something other doctors thank me for). He is by far one of the worst doctors I’ve ever been to. Listen to these reviews, they are here for a reason. Do not go to him unless you want to feel rejected, laughed at or not taken care of

There are many aspects to Dr. Restrepo: He was informative. Some info he shared is what no other Dr has explained. When discussing lab results from the referring physician, he hadn't received them. He asked his staff to call the Dr office and fax over the results. He had them in a few minutes. Yet he's analytical, not a touchy, feely guy. He does look at the medication list and make assumptions without having all the info. He also doesn't have the patience to sit and wait for you to tell your story. When he asks a question, answer it succinctly. Don't ramble or beat around the bush. After the questions not being answered succinctly and sensing frustration with medical issues happening for several years, he said, "Sorry. I can't help you. If you're going to be that frustrated and try to tell me what to do (not sure how he interpreted that), I can't help you. You won't be charged for this visit." Then he left the room. The staff is very friendly and professional. One of them suggeste

Chronic Pain Patient – Jun 10, 2020
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Restrepo?
What's the point, I spent hours building "Symptoms List" & " Med/Doctors List" just so we can have a shorter concise visit. He did not even look at, but he kept asking me for answers in the prepared documents. I am still in shock at the treatment from this doctor today. Other doctors usually thank me for the documents. I will pray God has mercy on him if any other patient leaves feeling they way I did and being treated the way he treated me today! It should be against medical board ethics to treat patients so rude, inhumane, and unethical! Don't ask a question or question your care, he will stop seeing you. And for us jumped he up loosing his temper & left the room because he wanted a simple question, that was already written on the papers and difficult to answer -- Like what does your pain feel like. His office staff are generally friendly.

Worst Doctor Visit... – Jun 09, 2020
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Restrepo?
I received a text reminding me of an appointment, when I arrive so did another patient with the same last name. They said “ didnt you look at your appointment cars?” I shoed them the text and one of the five office staff laughed and said she was moving stuff on her computer. I drove the 144 miles home.

My oncologist referred me over to Dr. Restrepo for a neurology consultation for extreme pain symptoms. I booked a new patient appointment ONE MONTH ago to see Dr. Restrepo. I had provided all my insurance information over the phone when the appointment was made. Today I checked in for the appointment to find out from the front desk receptionist that Dr Restrepo is not in network after I was told he was and also received updated information on the day of my appointment that their office is not

Worst healthcare experience I've ever had. I am baffled at how rude and ill-informed he was. Even my other doctors who I've told of my visit with Dr. Restrepo, were shocked that he would say such things to a patient.

Doesn't spend but a few minutes 2-3 in the room with you, doesn't listen to questions and blatantly throws out a diagnosis, prescribes a medicine and leaves you to talk to his assistant. When you have horrible side effects from the meds his prescribes, he has his assistant call you back to tell you just stop taking them and we will see you at your next appointment in a month or so.

Dr. Restrepo was referred to me by another Neurologist. I was hesitant at first to leave the Neurologist who had, basically saved my life (GBS & AMAN) and one I trusted so much but, Dr. Restrepo was the perfect recommendation. He is a great listener and problem solver. He is always looking for solutions before explaining to you a next course of treatment. He found that I had A-Fib and Sleep Apnea. He relayed the info re my A-Fib promptly to my cardiologist. Staff is wonderful. Never a problem
