Remarkable surgeon
I meet Dr.Rao in 1994 after a work injury to my back. He had the most highest bedside manner. That I have ever experienced in a doctor. I was very impressed sitting in his waiting room office. Sat a full resume. Of all his schooling and practices. We he went over my MRI. He explained it fully. He told me he could do a l4 l5 fusion. But before I make a decision about having this major surgery. I needed to take a minute to make such a big decision. I felt very confident in him. So I chose to have the surgery. So in March of 1994 he did the major surgery. I’m here to say he did an incredible job. I was told by Dr. Rai that there would be also possibly chances. Of having continued orthopedic care. that having more stress on the disc above and below that he would have to continue the fusion.Well here I am almost 30 years later. And have not had any troubles whatsoever. I’m am so grateful to Dr. RAO. Thank you so much for giving me a great life.

Amazing compassionate doctor!
I have seen over 5 different doctors for my car accident back injury. Dr. Rao was the first doctor to clearly and precisely explain my injury to me. He was also the first doctor to validate my pain and actually treat it! I am so grateful to have him as my doctor. His office staff are so sweet, and are equally as great and efficient as he! I finally have hope for my future with his treatment plan.

Dr. Rao is kind, thoughtful, professional and not in a hurry to recommend surgery. I have seen him a three times over the last few years and he always has ideas to relieve my discomfort and so far they have all worked. If I can avoid surgery I will and thats OK with him. I so appreciate his listening to my wants and concerns and helping to find a solution sans surgery. Thank you Dr Rau

Dr. Rao is heaven-sent. I prayed so hard to find the right doctor to help me with pain from spinal stenosis. Upon meeting him and experiencing his gentleness and kindness, I knew he’s the answer. Through surgery and post operative clinic visits, he displayed the same level of caring, compassionate and empathy. God bless you, Dr. Rao and May you continue to care for patients who suffer from spine problems for more years to come. Forever grateful. Estela Gapas

Over the past 30 years, I've undergone three spinal surgeries and been treated by more than a dozen primary care physicians, specialists and surgeons for treatment of serious back problems I've suffered since I was 12-years-old. They were all excellent physicians, but none came close to having the empathy, expertise and professionalism that Dr. Rao provides. He's truly the kindest, best informed, and most communicative physician from whom I've ever received care. His active listening skills are extraordinary. Dr. Rao's staff is likewise top tier. It's a delight to work with Amber, Patricia and Natalia, each of whom is efficient, accurate and altogether pleasant. If you're seeking a neurosurgeon for yourself, a family member or a friend, you'll receive no finer care than that provided by Dr. Rao and his staff.

Dr. Rao is one of the most compassionate caring doctors I have ever met. He truly cares about you, and works hard to find a solution for you. I thought I was going to need another spine surgery, and Dr. Rao suggested I try a cortisone shot first. It was a miraculous how my pain went away. It has changed my life for the better, and no invasive surgery! I also witnessed Dr. Rao with an elderly patient. He was so compassionate and caring with her. He eased her anxiety right away. #1

Dr. Rao is a very good doctor. I have enjoyed my visits with him. I would give him 5 stars, but for one of his assistants, Amber, who is very unprofessional. She misheard me one day, we argued about it, now she has a really poor attitude. I have left 2 voicemails to schedule an appt., after likely having my call screened, but I am still waiting for a call back. I guess I will need to go into the office to speak with the doctor directly, which is probably what she ears.

Dr. Rao performed my back surgery in 2003. He was very professional and personal in the diagnosis and treatment of my problem, and in helping me to understand the process and what to expect afterward. Since that time, I have had no major issues with my back (except the occasional self inflicted exertion). I highly recommend Dr. Rao to anyone who suffers from back pain and wants results.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Rao yesterday. I have been through double back surgeries and multiple doctors to find help. I have to say Dr. Rao completely gave 100% of his time and attention to me . His caring manner helped to ease my anxiety. I deeply believe Dr. Rao is an amazing person and Doctor. I am looking forward to starting a plan he put together for me. Even after the appointment was over, he asked me if I would like to try accupunture for some relief. There is hope!!
