Dr. Sankaran Venkatasubramanian, MD

My father saw Dr. Venkatasubramanian. He was not happy with the Doc. Other than some hearing impairment and a little trouble walking, my aging father takes care of himself fine. This doctor did not care about Dad’s autonomy and independence. Did not answer him via Mychart, although this would be the easiest for someone with impaired hearing. Instead, the doctor demands family member presence in the office or no visit. The doctor was my way or the highway. When I took Dad for visits, the doctor talked to me about him, not to him. This was easier for the doctor himself, but took away Dad’s confidence even more. The doctor then told me to take Dad to more and more future visits and tests. My wife was going through chemo treatment. Teenage daughter had drug problems. I was trying to hang onto my own full time job…. I help Dad when I can…. The doctor thinks his patient has endless resources at home? So he put his patient’s care burden on the patient’s family instead of work

Dr. Venkat takes a good amount of time explaining his diagnosis, treatment plan and gives you options. He listens to your concerns and addresses them. I would highly recommend him as a PCP.,
