I Absolutely Love Dr. Shiley & Staff
My experience was wonderful. Staff was pleasant & welcoming. Dr. Shiley validated my thoughts. He was courteous, kind & comforting. He made years of not being taken seriously. Dissapear when he confirmed my side affects, concerns & worries as valid. A fair & empathetic physician who listens & takes you seriously. I am lucky to have found him. I would not hesitate to refer him to anyone.

Dr Shiley is extraordinary - kind, available, knowledgeable, focused. When I first saw him, I was strikingly uneducated about the function & importance of sinuses, and he patiently reviewed my scans with me, explaining the anatomy & physiology of what I was suffering. I see him as a clinician & as a surgeon, and his staffs in both environments are wonderful, as well. I have very high standards for care providers - it is a relief to have such a trustworthy & wise physician to turn to. I recommend Dr Shiley & his practice whole-heartedly.

Because of the retirement of my former ENT physician, I was transferred to Samuel Shiley, MD. During our recent appointment, I was delighted that he had reviewed my records and was completely aware of all of my health conditions. I am very pleased with the care I received. I look forward to working with Dr. Shiley in the years ahead. Samuel Shiley, MD is an excellent physician..

Dr Shiley is a kind and compassionate listener. He is meticulous and gentle, completing my diagnostic endoscopic exam so gently that I didn’t need aesthetic and experienced no discomfort. My surgery was uneventful. I had a pain prescription but no pain. I mean zero pain! Amazing after a 2+ hour delicate surgery. He prepared me with instructions for saline rinsing and nasal spray use after the surgery. My two follow-up appointments have been easy and comfortable and I feel GREAT! I have suffered with chronic sinus and ear infections since I was a child and have plentiful experience with ENT doctors. So you can believe me when I tell you this. Dr. Shiley is a consummate professional and a gentleman. Sincerely, Susan Anderson Lake Oswego Oregon

Only negative input I have is regarding the office furnishings. The church pews in the waiting room are kind of creepy and not what some people want to sit on while waiting for the doctor.

Omigosh. Where do I begin? All the way from the phone receptionists to the drs, to the hospital stay, I found everyone involved over the top incredible! I can't imagine a better dr. than Dr. Shiley to perform my thyroid surgery. And I must also mention Dr. Caldwell, the anesthesiologist who gave me the best sleep I've had for a long time. We are so fortunate to have a system like the Oregon Clinic. I'm still gushing!!

I have been a client of Dr. Shiley’s for many years. Taking into consideration two surgeries and management of my sinus condition, I would say Dr. Shiley is the best doctor I have ever had. He is thoughtful in his care, he fully listens to me, and I appreciate his conservative approach concerning surgery and treatment. The remedies he prescribes are good alternatives to antibiotics, but if I need an antibiotic, he finds one that works. He is the only doctor I have had who will personally return a phone call. My experience with Dr. Shiley is that he is a talented and dedicated doctor, and kind person.

I was disappointed to find the staff could not even give me a typical ball park figure for the cost of the typical procedure I needed when I scheduled the appointment. Having to go to the doctor and have absolutely no idea how much you might be charged is enough to make you sick in itself.

I have not yet had my surgery. Dr. Shiley and others at the clinic have been very good to work with, so far. It's important to have confidence in one's doctors. Based on my experience to date, yes, I would recommend Dr. Shiley to family and friends.

It’s nice to have a physician who speaks to the patient directly, asks pertinent questions, and makes sure that the patient understands everything without staring into a computer screen for the entire visit. Thanks Dr. Shiley!

I've been to see Dr. Shirley several times in the last several years and really can't say enough good things about him. I come from a long medical background and was referred to him by one of our Cath lab technicians, who had been referred to him by an RN. When medical staff make a referral, I believe you can feel confident you are getting the best information, and the best medical care available. That is Dr. Shiley.

Dr. Shiley is the best doctor I've ever been treated by. I'm 57 and have been through three significant surgeries in my adult life, so I've seen more than my share of doctors! Dr. Shiley is friendly, patient, respectful, responsive, a good listener, and he's extremely knowledgeable. It's obvious that he enjoys his job and truly cares.

Septoplastyprocedure resulted in hypermobilty of my nose, divot in the center of my nose, split line running down the middle of the tip, drastic drooping appearance, when he assured me that the procedure would not drastically alter the nose's appearance . I went to see him a year later and he insisted it was " a skin issue", and to go see a dermatologist. My nose was essentially cut off my face on the inside, it is loose and wide and mobile. I am traumatized, and he blew me off. NIGHTMARE!
