Dr. Samuel Murrell, MD

I have seen 4 doctors in 2024 Dr murrell is my last doctor I will ever see again, he is one of the best back surgeons in the tr-states! I thought there was no hope no cure I was broken mentally! The Lord worked through Dr murrell and he fixed me!! I can’t say enough about him, so if you’re looking to be fixed he’s the man for the job. I had 4 surgery’s and again Dr murrell is the only doctor they will ever touch my back again.

Took the time to listen to me and my wife with questions about the issues I was experiencing. Didn’t rush thru my questions and concerns and was very helpful in helping me to understand what was happening and needed.

When you are in the exam room with Dr Murrell you immediately realize that he is going to do everything reasonably possible to abate your pain as quickly as feasible. He will be completely familiar with your file and is easy to talk to. He doesn’t rush and completely answers questions and concerns. You know he wants to get you better with as a conservative treatment as possible. Medical schools should show students an exam session with Dr. Murrell to demonstrate what effective patient- doctor interaction should look like.

He is kind and compassionate. He listens and I truly believe he cares deeply about his patients.

Excellent surgeon. I couldn’t walk because of the nerve pain in my lower back. I had a herniated disc between l4 and l5. The pain was excruciating. I was referred to Dr. Murrell by Dr. Dowling who is also amazing. I was in surgery within a week of seeing him for the first time. He made sure I understood everything he was going to do before surgery. The surgery center is wonderful in itself with the kind of care I received. As soon as the surgery was over and I stood up I had zero nerve pain. I was back to work within two weeks. It’s been almost two months now and I’m able to enjoy life again with no pain. Words can not describe how appreciative I am of this man and his staff. A million thank yous to him. I would trust him to do it again in a heartbeat.

I put off having spinal surgery for two or more years. Dr. Murrell as well as his entire staff were very patient with me. Eight hours of surgery and eight months later and I couldn’t be happier! Prior to surgery I could hardly stand or walk. I left the hospital and have never needed a walker or a cane! Dr. Murrell is simply the best!!!

Dr. Murrell is the only person I trust to take care of my spine issues. First rate!

Dr. Murrell is outstanding. He is very soft spoken and explains everything. I felt very comfortable. My issue is his assistant. Called 7/7 l/m & call was returned right b4 closing with no message. I called again on 7/10 & no call was returned. The paperwork from my NP was sent 2 office on 6/14 and it had 2 b resent because office claimed they didn’t receive it. I am supposed 2 have surgery, but I don’t kno if @ this point I should get another block.

Dr. Murrell cares about what is going on with you and does everything to help . He has done several surgeries on my back and have gotten so much relief. His staff are awesome and they care about how you feel . I strongly recommend him to anyone. He is an amazing surgeon. I have never had a problem with getting an appointment with him. When he wants you to have an MRI or Mylogram or any other test done he has his nurse and his other staff to get it scheduled right away. He was recommended to me by a friend over 7 years ago and I trust him completely. He has always been very upright about what needs to be done to help. He cares about his patients.

Reached out to Dr. Murrell's office from out of the country - made arrangements to see because I had hurt my back. His office got me in, had a a quick session with him, had an MRI that same night, back in is office on Wednesday - Surgery the following Monday and on my way to healing. I found Dr. Murrell to be exactly what you need in a surgeon, succinct, explains the pros and cons the risks and rewards and then he did what he said he was going to do. I am still recovering, which is as he explained and I expected. From a surgical perspective - I have no complaints or issues, his manner and approach was spot on.
