Dr. Samuel Mayeda, MD

He is the most thorough physician I've ever seen -- and that is a understatement.

Dr. Mayeda is the doctor that every doctor should be. He asks all the questions about your health history. This, I've found, is really rare. He will write everything down and continue to ask questions. He is very thorough. He does talk rather softly and it's hard to hear behind his mask, which is my only complaint. He is a concierge doctor, so you will have to pay a premium for his care, but in my opinion it is worth it. If you want a doctor who will truly listen to you when others don't, give him a try.

Dr. M. is a sought out and very busy doctor. There may be a wait at times. He is more than worth the brief wait. He takes his time with you and really listens to you. He does everything in his power to help you feel better, he will seek advice from colleagues if he is not familiar with an illness. He doesn’t give up on his patients, even in the most difficult cases. I have never met a doctor like him. He’s the first, of 15 that has helped me feel better and to have a better quality of life.

No one tells you that he is a considered as an Concierge Medicine Practice where you have to pay an annual fee of $1800 to see him after two free visits. He was very upfront with me about this but in all the reviews I've read no one mentioned it. I would have liked an advance notice if it was possible.

Sincere, amazing doctor. No one has a crystal ball but at least he spends long appointments with you to provide the best solutions he can come up with. Responsive staff as well.
