Top notch!
Dr Kallus took on this out-of-towner quickly and kindly in a high-stress situation. He listened closely as he evaluated the issue and managed an expedited procedure. I could not be more thankful for his attention and time.

Kind and Practical
I was nervous coming to see Dr. Kallus because I didn't know anything about him other than that his office was supposed to be good. He was great. He listened to my symptoms, understood that there were other contributing factors, and talked through his reasoning. He was willing to perform tests suggested by other doctors while also explaining how they would and would not be useful. His plan was very practical and involved treating the easiest things first to better understand the complicated things. He responds to his portal messages and is pleasant.

Highly recommend
I’ve been seeing Dr Kallus for several years. He is one of the few doctors I see who takes the time to explain things clearly - not just telling me what to do but why. Grateful to have him managing my care.

Dr. Kallus was the assistant physician to my then doctor in 2017 for a colonoscopy I had done. He was awful. In the procedure room he was cold in speaking to me and I got the sense that he didn't want to be there. Dr. Kallus was responsible for discharging me, he never showed up to do so. The duty nurses called him he was not returning their calls. After about an hour after the procedure the last nurse that was there before I left said. This is ridiculous. So he called my then GI doctor and she came to discharge me. All the while patients that were there in the recovery room were leaving before I did. I find Dr. Sam Kallus to be very unprofessional and not compassionate. Hopefully he has changed his unprofessional, uncaring physician ways.

I first met with Dr. Kallus two weeks ago. He has the best communications skills of any physician I have met. This was a stark contrast with my previous gastroenterologist. A friend recommended Dr. Kallus highly and I see why.
