Endoscopy and colonoscopy

He's a great listener kind-hearted and attentive to his patients

I've been seeing Dr. Giday for many years, and he's a capable physician, when you can get to see him. I've been very sick for almost two months and recently spent a full day in the emergency room. The people at the Center for Digestive Health could care less, and I've been trying to get an appointment on line (no response) and through a number telephone calls. All they care about down there is booking more patients and providing as little care as possible. They're simply too busy to bother with me.

Dr Giday has a great bedside manner, but his staff is awful! I had 3 bills totaling $1,000 bill from a colonoscopy. I made monthly payments on all 3 bills until 1 month, right after I made my pymts I got a letter from a collections place. I called them & spoke to Kat explaining I just made payment to Dr. Giday. I was told not to worry they would get it straightened out & it wouldn't hit my credit since I made a payment. Also called Dr. Gidays office & left several messages for a lady named Bebe who never called back. Next month I get 3 bills from Dr. Giday so I assume they resolved the issue & sent another payment. 2 weeks later the accounts hit my credit & dropped my score 80 POINTS & I get another letter from collections! I call the billing office & spoke with the manager Jo who was AWFUL! I explained the issue to her & she said "It's our bills we can do what we want with them. I fixed the error so that you won't receive anymore letters from our office." as if she solved the problem!

I had an office appointment with Dr. Giday during which time he was courteous, kind and asked and answered questions thoughtfully. He did my colonoscopy and all went very well. I would not give praise, however, for his office, Center for Digestive Health, or his assistant. I found it very difficult to get through to the office by phone, usually being placed on hold, with a recording asking me to leave my name and number. After leaving my name and number, on more than one try, I did not receive a return phone call. The same was true for the doctor’s assistant, who did not return phone calls. I even made a phone call the morning of my procedure to ask an important clinical question, and by 3 in the afternoon I still had not received an answer and had to call again, and even then was bounced around from person to person before receiving a reply.

Dr. Giday is awesome! He is an extremely thorough doctor and has a great bedside manner. He goes above and beyond for his patients!

Impossible to reach him. The office staff will bounce your call around and around, never address your problem, and blame you for things that go wrong. Dr Giday will not return your call for assistance.

Dr. Samuel Giday is the very best GI specialist in the state of Florida. He spent an extensive amount of time answering all of my questions. He actually came in while he was supposed to be on vacation in the earliest morning hours to execute my endoscopy and he stayed until after I recovered to explain my prognosis. He provided a caring demeanor and presented all the information in a straight forward manner. I would highly recommend his practice. He is in high demand. I totally trusted him.

I initially went to him on the recommendation of my PCP. His office side manner is very good and the office seems to run on time. I didn't like having to pay for an office visit to review test results which were normal. On the day of my colonoscopy, he was over an hour late with no apologies which is the primary reason for the low rating.

In response to Carmela Brown's request that I contact her regarding my experience. I have left multiple messages and have yet to receive a return call. Just more evidence that neither the doctor nor his staff have any interest in their patients. I will be filing a complaint with the state and my insurance company.

Dr. Gidday was efficient at doing the endoscope and colonoscopy. He is a brilliant doctor, but seems to have more interest in doing procedures than in the well-being of his patients. I developed an urgent health problem afterwards, yet was told he could not see me for over a month. He prescribed the wrong RX for my condition according to the endoscope, did not change it, then did not prescribe the antibiotic that would have eliminated the problem, requiring me to make yet another appointment.

Dr Giday went out of his way to schedule my procedure at a early morning time he is not normally at this hospital, then called me at home at 8:30 pm to report the positive results. This gentleman is the best in his field, based, not only on my experience, but the word of others in the medical world.

In 2015, I used the services of Dr. Giday for a colonoscopy. I ran into some abdominal difficulties in November 2016 and called Dr. Giday. He scheduled tests, however after having to personally call his office for results a number of times with no call back, I had to show up at the office as a walk-in patient. Dr. Giday has a cavalier attitude and doesn't seem to care about his patients. His office only seems interested in high volume procedures. If you get ill, don't call his office.

He was extremely thorough and thoughtful. I would highly recommend him to any patient with a complex medical gastrointestinal problem.

wonderful and knowledgeable

I had heard Dr Giday was a great Doctor. But I went there over a month ago and I felt like no one cared to help me and just wanted my money. Dr Giday spent nearly no time with me after I had waited to see him. Once I finally did talk with him it was for less than five minutes and he sent me out the door to take tests at another facility. I took those tests immediately after leaving his office at Labcorp and Dr Gidays office has never returned any of my calls or messages about a follow up.

Dr. Giday is one of the most professional and truly nice doctors I have ever seen. I wish more doctors were like him !!
