Dr. Samra Blanchard, MD

Dr. Blanchard has seen my son for gastroenterology issues for many years. She is a wonderful, intelligent and caring doctor who goes way above what an average pediatric gastroenterology specialist does for their patients. Dr. Blanchard makes sure her patients are diagnosed accurately and gives them excellent follow-up care. I highly recommend her for your precious child's pediatric gastroenterology specialty care. She is affiliated with the University of Maryland Pediatric Specialty Associates in Bel Air, MD and has numerous other locations in Maryland including downtown Baltimore and Lutherville. Also, Dr. Blanchard has flexible virtual appointments available for parents and children who are concerned about the Covid-19 virus. First office visit today was a great overall experience! Every staff person and doctors were friendly, knowledgeable and fantastic with children. Dr. Sam and Dr. Blanchard were amazing! I would highly recommend them!

Misdiagnosed acute cholecystis/cholelithiasis as "lactose intolerance and psychosmatic pain". This physician performed an EGD and did not follow up beyond that with an abdominal ultrasound. As a younger patient I sought a second opinion at Hopkins and was immediately given an ultrasound which lead to prompt diagnosis and treatment w/ lap chole. Today, as a training physician looking back... I am appalled at her management of my case and I hope other children do not have to suffer as I did.
