Dr. Samir Sheth, MD

I am very grateful to be seeing Dr Sheth. I have a ton of anxiety about pain because treatments have been largely unsuccessful my whole life. Dr Sheth is the first doctor in almost two decade I have felt comfortable discussing my pain and seeking treatment from.

Gone downhill!! Look at these dates of reviews... Terrible timeliness and followup. The staff at Sutter is sabotaging what maybe a good provider. Dr. Sheth is trapped in the Sutter Health system that extracts the most costs from insurance for the least effort. Once I saw an office screener (not the Dr.) I was scheduled for an interventional pain procedure. The staff got the wrong referral and had an office visit vice a procedure, so the procedure was cancelled that day-I already took off work and was fasting. Then when the insurance company wanted additional info. So, another month. Then they get the referral (I know because I tracked it) and three more weeks calling every week. Finally after three weeks, I get a supervisor. Two days later still haven't heard. Go with a provider in a smaller system that has customer service and patient care for those in pain.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sheth for over 10 years. He is an excellent listener, makes sure he understands all aspects of your circumstances before he makes any recommendation. Once he does recommend a treatment plan, he does so because he feels it is the safest & best route for you as the patient. In this day in age, it's hard to find a doctor that will go the extra mile for their patients. If your suffering from chronic pain, Dr. Sheth has the altruistic personality you are looking for.

My doctor referred me to Dr. Sheth for a complex issue. I was very satisfied with the care I received. Dr. S had an excellent bedside manner, listening to my input, asking appropriate questions and doing a comprehensive evaluation. He was patient and positive. Equally important, Dr. S was proactive with diagnostics but conservative with medication & procedures. He ordered x-rays I needed and referred me to an orthopedic specialist. Short of having a magic wand, I was pleased with the visit.

I saw Dr. Sheth for lower back issues and felt that he was very open, attentive and thorough and listened to my concerns. He is working with me to develop a treatment plan based on how I respond to treatments received. I feel that I am in good hands and trust him with my care.
