Beware. This franchise only cares about pushing patients and getting their billings high. I was here yesterday after some insect hit my eyeball, and I know as I felt it. Immediately after, I started experiencing some pain--sort of like a migraine--along with itchiness and redness. Since my regular doctor wasn't available, I decided to come here to rule out anything serious. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Samih Elchahal was quite rushed. He spent less than five minutes with me and spoke so quickly that I had a hard time following his diagnosis. He mentioned that the bug incident was just a coincidence and told me I had ocular rosacea, but he didn't take the time to explain what that meant. He was more focused on ensuring I got his business card and was referred to a specialist than on addressing my concerns. He even claimed my eye had no scratches, which I later discovered wasn't true! I was sent home with an ointment meant for bacteria, even though I had no bacterial infection at all. Afterward, I called my regular doctor and was lucky enough to get an appointment the next day. I explained my situation just as I did with Dr. Elchahal (I left out the ocular rosacea comment), and my regular doctor quickly identified a minor scratch on my eye. Instead of ointments, I was prescribed just eye drops! I suggest caution when consulting this franchise!

RUSHED IN SAYING I NEEDED SURGERY AFTER LOOKING AT NURSES REPORT, NEVER EVEN LOOKED AT ME - NO EYE CONTACT, RUDE!!

Dr Samil Elchahal had horrible bed side manner!! When he walked in the room did not introduce himself! Was very dismissive towards the patient [my mom] he was talking to his assistant in medical terms not caring how uncomfortable the patient felt, he removed a membrane from the eyes without letting the pt know and it was very painful! He did not care! We have never seen a Dr like him the worse experience we have ever had! will not recommend him at all! He left without giving the diagnosis and did not ask if we had any questions…

The professional and staff are great and gave us a high quality care service. From the scheduling center throughout the doctor, they are a five stars service!

Excellent doctor: caring, experienced and accessible

Very professional and thorough. My appointment was originally for examination of an eye injury. After that evaluation, Dr. Elchahal spent considerable time detailing other things that he noticed in detail that a non-medical person could understand. Thank you.

One evening I was experiencing some "flashing light" out of my peripheral vision. I immediately went to "Google University" to see what it might be. The internet said it can be caused by many things, other than your eye's. Later on I noticed a "large" floater which narrowed the issue down to my eye. I was concerned that it may be a detached retina so the next morning I called Houston Eye Associates, which is where my wife goes for eye care. They were able to find a location near my job that could see me that morning. Dr. Samih Elchahal listened to my symptoms and examined my eyes. He was very thorough and knowledgeable and he could tell I had both Lasik and a PRK treatment previously from just examining my eyes. He told me my retina was fine but wanted an ultrasound of the eye. The front desk was able to schedule it for the same day at their main location on Gramercy St. I arrived 30 minutes early in case there was paperwork involved and they ushered me right in for the ultrasound.
