Dr. Sami Mufarrij, MD

Dr. Sami is the absolute best. I always thought routine gyn exams and pap smears were just painful and everyone took 2-3 days to recover from them. Dr. Sami has shown me that it should not be a painful experience and is the best gynecologist I have ever worked with. He actually listens and finds solutions for your problems I'm feeling better than I ever have in my entire life thanks to him and will be forever grateful.

Good bedside manners. Good listener professional knowledgeable and caring. He delivered my last born 30 months ago which was a pretty rocky delivery but he remained calm and collected and made the right decisions to make sure both my son and i come out alive. My family is immensely grateful

Dr. Sami has the best bedside manner of any doctor I’ve seen, easily. He is so comforting and kind. Above all, he is incredibly smart as well. All hesitation I had about having a male gynecologist was completely washed away when I met him. I wish more doctors were like him. He cares about his patients and never made me feel rushed.

Dr. Sami Mufarrij came highly recommended by my mother in law. We’d been planning on a new baby and wanted to ensure we got connected with someone who was efficient, knowledgeable and who truly cared as my pregnancies are high risk. Dr. Sami is that and more. From the first introduction, he was patient, informative and really took the time to listen to my concerns. I didn’t fell rushed during each of our appointments and he also made sure my husband was clear on our pregnancy plan and that he didn’t have any questions. Before I knew it, I was put on bed rest due to severe preeclampsia. During my stay at the hospital, Dr. Sami checked in on myself baby and husband daily. Unfortunately, I got really sick and had to deliver early. Dr. Sami was on call that day, but still took the time out to come in and assist with my c section. Dr. Sami is very personable, he listens and takes his time. I have used this practice to deliver my 3 girls (12, 2, 2months) this from 2011 to 2023 and they have been exceptional including the staff right from their old Greenbelt office to the one in Bowie and the new Greenbelt office. I love their practice, Dr. Imad is also great and thorough when talking. I am done having kids but if I have any more, I will go back to them, in the meantime I am going to use them for my woman's care. If you are looking for a practice, they are the ones to go to.

Dr. Sami Mufarrij is an excellent doctor. I can’t thank him enough, he is so patient and ever ready to answer your questions. I experienced the best care with him, he delivered my baby and reassured me that all was going to be fine throughout my pregnancy(even when there was a complication in the delivery room). I am honored to have a doctor that listens to his patient and remembers. I don’t have to repeat myself every appointment which is a great plus. I was skeptical to have a male obgyn prior to meeting Dr. Sami, but he gave me the best care when I’d met him at Holy Cross and I knew from that moment that going forward he was going to be my doctor. I made the best choice and I’m not looking back.

Dr. Sami is such a great doctor, he makes you feel like you are his most important patient. He never rushes you, takes him time to listen and explains every detail until it is crystal clear! If you are looking for a caring & thorough GYN go see Dr. Sami (or his dad Dr. I; he is excellent as well) you will not regret it!

Funny enough, an ER doctor recommended me to Dr. Mufarrij. I had never heard of him. I feel like God blessed me with that referral. The office was clean and there was plenty parking at his facility. I was really scared to go to a male gynecologist. I didnt think he would understand me or be able to relate to me in any way. Boy, was I wrong. Dr. Mufarrij took his time explaining what was going on with my body. He NEVER rushed me or made me feel uncomfortable. He was so warm, calming, professional and reassuring. Excellent bedside manners. He was actually better than 75% of the female gynecologists I have had. He will definitely be my doctor moving forward. Please, ladies, do NOT hesitate to book an appointment.

Dr, Mufarrij is not my regular doctor so I was a bit apprehensive, but he made me feel very comfortable. he answered all my questions even the ones that were embarrassing to ask with out ever making me feel uncomfortable he was not dismissive and took all my concerns very seriously. He was very personable as well and made an appointment that I dread a good experience.

Dr. Mufarrji (Both Sami and Imad) are both amazing physicians. I started in 2007 with Dr. Imad Muffarji and I transitioned to Dr. Sami Muffarji the last couple years. I love them both and feel so cared for and seen as a patient. This office is just what I need to make me feel like I am in good hands.

I could not ask for a better OB/GYN than Dr. Sami Mufarrij. It’s been a blessing to have an informed and attentive physician during my first pregnancy. I gladly drive from Northern Virginia in order to attend the appointments. After having tried several different doctors, finding Dr. Mufarrij was a relief. Appointments did not feel impersonal or rushed, all of my many questions were heard and answered. Dr. Muffarij uses thorough testing and screenings in order to ensure the health of my baby.
