Dr. Samantha Dibenedetto, MD

I made the appointment because I was advised to do so by my doctors. Turns out that going to an expert in hematology is better than relying on a general practitioner. Dr. DiBenedetto does this all day every day and has the experience to KNOW what all the results mean. I worried waiting for my appointment, but came away smarter and more sure of my path forward, which she said did not include her talents. I got the green light that everything was on the mend, and practically FLOATED out of their offices. She was prepared and explained why she came to her conclusion. It was well worth the wait to see her. A very positive encounter, which is refreshing considering how many patients are treated like numbers by the ‘big box’ facilities. I chose well, and would choose her again if I needed to.

After genetic testing and a family revelation I initially was concerned but Dr. DiBenedetto guided me through details of alpha thalassemia and iron deficiency. She didn’t diminish my concerns. I left feeling a plan was in place!! I’m very grateful to her and her team.

She has been very vigilante in informing me of the results of my tests. Some of my numbers were low, however, she assured me that they were not low enough to be of major concern. She has monitored my blood levels and they have improved. She recommended a bone biopsy to make sure there were no underlying issues. She has been very thorough in her treatment.

Dr. Dibenedetto is very professional and knowledgeable. She is kind and courteous, made me feel comfortable. Her staff is also very courteous. On scale of 0-10, I will give her a 10.

Dr. De Benedetto was knowledgeable as well as personable and direct while at the same time reassuringly honest . My phlebotomist was painless, something I rarely say as I have been labeled a “hard stick” by many others. All personnel were kind and respectful and patient. Everything ran in a timely, organized manner.

I was frightened, but perhaps a combination of her listening and explaining assuaged a bit of the fear. I assumed there would be more blood work, and she explained that too, and she said she would call with alarming news but explain all at next visit. I appreciated seeing her.
