Dr. Samanjit Kandola, MD

Dr. Kandola was my primary physician for about 3 years. I tried my best to stay with her as a patient, but she never seemed to listen to me and often rushed our appointments. The whole 3 years that she was my doctor, she refused to acknowledge any of my symptoms. She made me feel crazy and unheard. I was experiencing severe muscle weakness, extreme blurry vision, droopy eyelids, and difficulty eating and breathing due to the muscles in my throat constantly closing. My condition deteriorated till I lost all mobility and she never believed me. I finally had to find a new doctor -one who would actually listen to me. My new doctor was able to figure out what was wrong with me. It turned out, it was not in my head, I’m not crazy… I have Myasthenia Gravis, a disease that causes extreme muscle failure. This is a REAL disease that has no cure. Luckily there is treatment for it and I’m finally on my way to getting better. I only wish I had switched doctors sooner.
