Dr. Sam Sydney has performed surgery on many people in my family, some of them 2-3 times. He's very professional, very nice bedside manner. All of the surgeries were successful. He is the best.

I have known Dr. Sydney over 15 years. I remember being at work and my knee locking up and a good friend recommended I see Dr. Sydney. It was pretty bad. He recommended I get meniscus repair immediately. I had no way to get to the hospital and Dr. Sydney offered to drive me from his office to the hospital. Unbelievable today!! This is a fabulous Doctor who genuinely care for his patients. I’m now having issues with the opposite knee. Of course I’m seeing Dr. Sydney. I only trust him! .

Dr. Sydney has operated on me three times. Two of the surgeries were for a total knee replacement. The third surgery was to repair one of the knees because I fell and had to have further surgery. I was very upset because I felt terrible that I had “messed up” his good work! Dr. Sydney was calm and very reassuring that it was an accident that could happen to anyone! His demeanor is always kind, caring, and concerned! He was like that on my first meeting with him and has continued to be the same every time we have talked. I am very pleased with the surgeries! I am walking as I had done before my knees began to bother me. I have recommended him to my brother who also needs surgery !

The initial visit and follow-up visit with Dr. Sydney was thorough and his treatment and recommendations produced positive results and relief. Most appreciated his professional demeanor and straight-forward application of his expertise. I highly recommend Dr. Sydney!

For several years, I've had excellent counsel from Dr. Sydney on some complex orthopedic issues. His patience, knowledge, ability to communicate complex information, guidance, and sense of humor have been present at every visit and appreciated by me every time. I have felt very included in decision- making and respected during every visit. All of this adds up to a sense of trust, and I do have trust in Dr. Sydney.

the wait time was 40 minutes, i guess not too bad for an 11:15 apptmt. the worst thing at oacm is the check-in procedure. way too time consuming and difficult - especially for sr citizens like me. why not make it possible to check in at home?

I'm a stroke survivor with a compromised left side. My left hip has been a special problem for 3 years I have fallen several times landing on my left hip of course. This COVID shutdown has not helped my mobility either. I've been taking phys. therapy for 4 months and have not made much progress. I stay in perpetual PT and wanted to see a good orthopedist for an evaluation to get me out of this rut.. I've been concerned I have been doing too much too soon, and not giving my hip a chance to recover between falls, PT sessions, or from my own efforts at home. Dr, Sydney came highly recommended by a neighbor, and by the PT folks as well. I made an appt with him and had a very good examination experience with him. He was very encouraging and answered all my concerns and questions. He took his time with me. There was a short wait and the virus protocols were very reassuring. He basically recommended massages for the hip muscles and some different PT things to do. He's excellent.

After 1 visit with Dr. Sydney, I appreciated the time he took to look holistically at my issues, despite my appointment for my hip. He discussed the impact of my back, hip and knees in combination and suggested PT and dry needling as a conservative approach to alleviating my gait issues and subsequent pain.

Dr. Sydney is the best. He is very personable and explains thoroughly the procedure he is going to perform. He shows you your x-rays and points out the findings. After one visit I felt confident that he was the doctor for me. I highly recommend.

Goes out of his way to find the correct replacement part, even though your body has many complications.

I most definitely would recommend Dr. Sydney to anyone in need of any type of orthopedic repair or replacement. He always takes the time to explain everything to me and wants nothing but the best care for his patients.

I went to see Dr. Sydney for knee pain. He took time to explain what was going on and gave me options. I am not pain free but I know what to do to make the pain better and hope that over time the issues will fade. Thank you Dr. Sydney for being patient, caring and sharing your knowledge.

Dr. Sydney is a wonderful surgeon who has performed 3 surgeries for me...both knee replacements and 1 hip replacement. He has always been very patient and thorough in answering all of my questions and concerns. He always asks how I'm doing when I see him and he also notices any changes in my demeanor (even when I've said I was fine)! Before my first surgery, my sister sought him out and asked if he would be in the room while she prayed. Despite being on a tight schedule, he took the time to pray with us. His bedside manner is very comforting, something any patient would want.

Dr. Sydney is very caring and patient; as well as extremely thorough with his explanations. After researching those who perform anterior hip replacements, I watched all of Dr. Sydney's videos regarding joints, etc. I was impressed with his knowledge and scheduled a visit with him.

Excellent care and follow-up with Dr. Sydney. He has been my Orthopedic Surgeon for the past 20 years and I have had nothing but positive experiences and successful surgeries with him.

He is an Excellent doctor and I'm speaking on the experience I had with having a hip replacement at the terrific St. Agnes Hospital. He really turned my life around to being a lot more mobile without the pain I had beforehand. Also he is very attentive and takes the time to listen to what you have to say. Such a Professional Caring Doctor!

He has a very good demeanor, excellent bedside manner. He is very upbeat and encouraging, answers questions and makes sure the patient has full understanding. The surgery on my wrist went very well with only the expected lasting effects that will naturally diminish with time. I am happy he was the surgeon at St. Agnes when I was there!
