Super disappointed with the billing and the phone and messaging does not work! Just received a bill for services from 2023 and none of the payments we made are on the statement! Then try to call and it goes to the after hours person who doesn’t have any other way to contact the office. Try to message from website and it doesn’t work. So hopefully someone will see this and reach out?

Professional, Courteous, Qualified!
My visit started with a friendly greeting once inside the door. The next friendly greeting came from the assistant/professional who called me back to the room. Then came in Dr. Smith and my impression of him was, this is great I finally found the Dermatologist I needed. From his explanation of what he is going to do to his implementation of the procedures to the final product of healing the whole process is a home run! I truly wish I found his office sooner. Thank you Dr. Smith and your entire staff!

A Little Too Rushed But So Far So Good
The office was clean, the front desk person was wonderful, and the staff was great. The PA came in first and did a run down with me of my medical issues I came to be seen about. He was very professional and personable. Dr. Smith then came in. He was very professional, appeared knowledgeable, and was personable as well. In addition to the main issues I came in to discuss, he took time to look me over in other areas and found other issues that he felt I needed to treat. While I greatly appreciated the time he took to do that, I would have also liked him to take a little more time to listen and communicate with me to help me understand one of my issues that two previous doctors diagnosed and unsuccessfully treated before he abruptly treated me while I was trying to ask more about that issue. Right now, I feel good about the doctor and his experience level and will be seeing him for a follow up visit. After that visit, I will post a more definitive assessment of the doctor.

inconsiderate scheduling
I set and confirmed an appointment for 11:15 (June 2022), when I arrived they told me that I was late and would have to re-schedule. Apparently they had emailed me earlier that day changing the time to 11:00, no phone call or text (something I might have actually seen)

Should have looked here first.
Went in to have a couple minor procedures addressed including a cholesterol deposit removed. My family has a genetic predisposition to high cholesterol. Dr. Smith used what felt like a hot prod to burn the small spots in my eye lid. Needless to say it felt pretty rough. An Ann Arbor Physician gave me a local anesthetic and cut the affected area out & them stitched it up 4 or 5 years ago (other eye). No scaring and minimal pain then 2/3 weeks later stitches out and all set. Dr. Smith's procedure as mentioned was very painful and the cholesterol deposits remain to this day. As bad as that was the impetus for this review is a result of my complete frustration with their billing department. I paid the bill but continue to get the same bill to this day. And they don't answer phones. I had to return in person to the office to inquire about the bill that was paid almost a year ago. The billing clerk told me if I was going to argue with her she would leave.

None of the office staff wears masks. After I made a comment that at least the Dr wears a mask. Dr. Smith intentionally took off his face mask, in the middle of a pandemic, to treat my at-risk 84 year old mother. He told me as long as they are fully vaccinated he doesn't require them to wear masks. I informed him that doesn't stop the spread. To which he replied, "I'm not going to debate this with YOU. I AM A DOCTOR."

Not good. I have been his patient for a number of years and dislike his methods more every year. He is arrogant and attached to the can to spray spots. I have a small scar on my face due to being sprayed too much. His patients do not come first. Money does!!!!! I have finally gone elsewhere as well as other members of my family who feel same way,

Our family has been going to Dr. Smith for nearly a decade - since he was part of Allure Dermatology. He has done an excellent job with our sons Eczema, pre-cancerous moles early stage skin cancer, and other issues. I was amazed at his repoire with our twin daughters and son. Wait times have never been long - even on sufgery days. Yes - I have a few scars from moles but I am alive and jere to raise my children because of his assertive approach! We love the freeze gun!

He seemed more concerned about carrying around his "freezing gun" than taking care of me. He GAVE me medication , and when I had a VERY BAD reaction, he laughed AT me, like he didn't believe me. It seemed to me that he just wanted to run me through like cattle....do the billing...get the money. Did seem to care that I will have a scar for life with the bad job he did on my arm.

I went in for a full body scan, as I've had suspicious moles removed in the past. I've been to several dermatologists in the valley over the years, so I know what a full scan should include. Dr. Smith did a cursory scan without a magnifying glass/ instrument and didn't bother to check my scalp or toes. The whole scan took less than 2 minutes. I felt like I was being rushed through my appointment. I will not be going back.

Waiting 30 minutes past my appt time, Dr. Smith came in the exam room, grabbed my arm, QUIKLY examining my skin while talking the entire time. After 1 minute the nurse came in and he stood up and the appt was done.. never given the opportunity to ask about my acne I still get being almost 54 yro nor did I get the chance to ask about another issue I have. There was no concern or chance given of what I had to say. Just a wam bam, got my money now be on your way attitude! Kind but really??
