Completely useless doctor. Doesn't care what you have to say and will interrupt you, mid sentence to let you know that you are wrong. I will never go back to him again!

This doctor is horrible, rude, abusive and unprofessional. If I could give a 0 star review I would. He gives absolutely no consideration for whatever symptoms you're going through even when it could be serious. (And forget any previous conditions you are dealing with...he doesn't have the time to help). The way he talks to the patient is very harsh and the tone of voice is irritated. I would not recommend him to anyone! If you get assigned to to this doctor, run away fast and find yourself another doctor. Seeing him is a waste of time!!!

I can say in all my time of seeing different Doctors / specialist / NP in my life, I never had a bad experience quite like this, until I was a patient of DR. Ortega. I had seen him a few times to address some minor health issues, (Sinus infection and stomach issues) and he is just a very cold doctor. for Very little empathy for the patient (if any). All I could take from it was that he has no desire to be a Doctor or that straight up is his personality. That would be bring me to wondering how and why he even got into the medical field to begin with treating people like that. I'm done with him as a Doctor. My hope is he retires early, so no one else has to put up with such an uncaring person.

Dr. Ortega has been my primary care physician for 12 years. He is thorough, listens well, and answers my questions. I've had a couple of medical issues that he has dealt with very well, and I am pleased to have him as my doctor.

Too few characters: He said my 18mo baby was overweight, needed to eat veg. and be active w/o asking. FYI She is very active and eats veg. a lot. When I said she was built like her dad, he said she needed to eat better so she didn't end up like her dad. I meant bone structure. Rude. My baby was scared and crying the whole time and he never talked to her. His tone was accusatory, the visit brief, uninformative, disheartening. My 2nd time w/ him never again. Yelp for WVMC for more on Ortega.

Dr. Ortega treated my autistic son inhumanely, distancing himself & never speaking directly to him, but asking me to do so for him. He diagnosed him as soon as he walked in. He had never met my son. "Kids with this diagnosis have behaviors. This is a behavior." He was ready to leave the room without even examining my son. I asked many questions - he did a very brief exam. He asked me to help, as not to touch my son anymore than necessary. No child or adult EVER deserves this type of treatment.
