Less empathy than a doorknob
I’m on my 4th pregnancy with no living children. At a 32 week growth scan, this woman comes in and tells me and my husband that she’s never seen anything like this in her 30 years as a doctor, and offers basically no other information. We go back for a follow up scan in a week, and have just been left to stew with no idea of what is going on with our baby. I find it incomprehensible that this woman is allowed to interact with patients.

Dr. Segel is one of the most professional, knowledgeable, and respectful physicians to ever care for me. Her bedside manner is kind and understanding, while her medical decisions are evidence based and reasonable. I trust her fully for the care of myself and this pregnancy. Her reviews of ultrasounds and tests have been professional and respectful. I can tell she truly cares for her patients.

I would not recommend her to anyone. She has no tact and does not seem to give any emotion when she goes over serious information with you. She is known for telling people that their baby has problems when she goes over the ultra sound, when many of the babies turn out just fine. She does this because she enjoys seeing their upset reaction.
