Blunt trauma to right eye in pickle ball match. I called St. Lucie Eye, and was seen by Dr. Bondalapati. Staff, from telephone contact to exam with Dr. Bondolapati MD, (ophthalmologist) was professional, personable and caring. I was seen that morning. Problem was quickly diagnosed, treatment was initiated, and follow up scheduled. Next time I will wear safety glasses.

I met Dr. Bondalapati for the first time as a new patient during an unplanned visit when I suddenly woke up at 4 AM with sharp pains stabbing my right eye. I had no idea what was going on as I had never felt that before. I was not supposed to have my new patient appointment at St. Lucie Eye until the following week. Dr. Bondalapati saw me as a late, last minute Friday afternoon appointment as I was experiencing eye symptoms while visiting family in Florida. Her and her team treated me with great concern and care. After diagnosing me, she referred me to a retina specialist that evening as I was found to have multiple retinal tears and a detached retina. Her team spent time making calls and arranging my care. Dr. Bondalapati even called me a few days later to check in to see that I had gotten the care that I needed.
