Dr. Mandilawi is very nice and very knowledgeable, but I think it is time for him to retire. He went over someone else's test results with me and insisted that I had these tests done - which I did not. He finally realized that he was reading someone else's chart and apologized. He is also very hard to understand because he mumbles his words. Doctors are human and at some point they too need to realize that they need to hang it up and retire!

After waiting 1 1/2 hours for a scheduled appointment, I had to leave. Never got to see the doctor.I was informed at the desk that I would be charged 25.00 for a last minute cancellation! Just one more item regarding ethics and morality; Scroll back to Dr. Manilawi’s picture…. He’s 82 years old! Misleading at best.

Never coming back to this doctor. He seemed frazzled, unorganized, and all over the place. He needed help finding bloodwork and ultrasound results that were right in front of his face. When he asked for my ultrasound results I showed him the paper and informed him that the results of that ultrasound (along with my bloodwork) were used by my PCP to diagnose me. He then snapped at me for no apparent reason and said "I'm the doctor and you're the patient. I talk, you listen. Okay?" I'm not sure what exactly set him off and why he reacted that way. Dr. Mandilawi also told me to "forget everything you've been told before coming into my office" and tried to convince me that my diagnosis was actually something completely different. He actually said this to me and expected me to blindly believe him with no tests, no x-rays, and previous office visits. I suspect this doctor might be going senile due to his old age and I do not trust his ability to care for me as a patient.

After two months of my appointment being on their books they called me the day before and cancelled my appointment stating that they did not have a current referral. Would that not have been something they could have attended to during the two months since my previous visit? Or inform me to fix it? I just corrected it myself, but now they want me to wait over a month to get to see him again. Lab tests were done a month ago and prescriptions need to be renewed or changed. His site says he is accepting new patients, yet he can not see those he already has in a timely fashion. Will be looking for another endocrinologist today.

Dr. Mandilawi, what an amazing physician, what an amazing human being! Not only is he the most thorough, he is kind, and he makes you feel as if you are his most important patient. He is easy to talk to and you can feel his healing energy. He is on a very short list of my physicians that I refer to as my Spirit Animals. Lastisha and the rest of his staff are outstanding and incredibly patient. Thanks guys! Mary Jane Prothro-Jones, Rancho Cucamonga

I have been going to LaVerne medical group for 33 years. The staff is very polite and pleasant. They have a great set up on site. An ex-Ray technician, ultra sound technician and a lab all on sight. Office visits are easy to schedule. Same day service. All doctors ready and willing to see you.
