My daughter and I were both under the care of this physician. The doctor misdiagnosed my daughter, and when she sought follow-up guidance after consulting multiple other providers per this doctor, this doctor's nurse stated the doctor was unavailable due to clinic obligations. The nurse was made aware of the current situation but would not offer an appointment, nor was the assistance provided for managing severe pain. Instead, she was advised to go to the emergency room. Given the rarity of my daughter's condition, this recommendation was inappropriate and potentially dangerous, as specialized care may have been required. Additionally, the office staff consistently fails to return calls, suggesting that patients not currently pregnant may receive lower prioritization.

Professional, Sensitive, Knowledgeable
Dr. Shaw was patient and caring. I've been dealing with issues since I first started having a period. For the first time in my life I felt HEARD and assured by my care provider. No questions about if my experience was enough to justify my complaints, or, "is it really that bad? You know this stuff sometimes is supposed to just not be comfortable." Just a sensitive, professional, "Ok, based on what you're going through, here are your options. What questions do you have about each? Let's make sure we take care of you."

Professional and Caring
My daughter was 18 years old when I found Dr Shaw. She is professional and caring. Not in a hurry and has excellent listening skills. My daughter has since moved out of state and however still goes back to Nashville to see Dr Shaw. I highly recommend Dr Shaw and her staff.

I love Dr. Shaw. I don’t know why she has such poor reviews. She helped so much with my bisalp and subsequent hysterectomy a couple of years. She is an introverted person but so kind and caring around my medical issues

Dr. Shaw, Cherlina, & JB were amazing to say the very least! During my prenatal & post natal care I felt not only valued as a patient but as an individual as well. My questions no matter how many, how crazy they sounded, & how often they came Dr. Shaw and staff always went the extra mile to take out the time to answer every single last one. I've never felt as comfortable at any doctors office as I have with this one. From the front desk to the back office your treated as family. My husband and myself couldn't thank Dr. Shaw enough for helping us welcome our precious little one into the world this year. Even amid a global pandemic we still felt as if we had a somewhat of a normal experience throughout. We are beyond grateful we found a great physician during such a vulnerable & fragile time in our lives ?.

Horrible doctor! I would give her a zero if I could. If you are a patient seeking a provider with great bedside manner, do not go to Dr. Shaw. She was not compassionate nor understanding during my miscarriage. I communicated with her nurse that I was having a miscarriage, but when I came in for my appointment, I had to explain numerous times to her team ( ultrasound tech, receptionist and nurse assistant) that I had a miscarriage. It was traumatizing and exhausting to have to communicate repeatedly. It was disappointing to have such a careless provider during a horrific time in my life.

Horrible. We waited for an hour and a half before asking for an update and they said we missed our name. 30 minutes later we found out they never actually checked us in. Nurse JB was a SWEETHEART but Ms. Shaw was rude and short. Tried interrogating us about why we missed an ultrasound appointment that they never scheduled, (we were told we were getting it that same day). Still had to reschedule it and got attitude about that as well. Was super quiet and unenthusiastic. What was supposed to be a beautiful day hearing our first child’s heartbeat was the worst doctor experience I’ve ever had. Called around about her afterwards and heard the exact same horror stories. Will NOT be seeing her again.

Dr Shaw was the doctor on call when I had my baby. She was condescending, rude and would not listen to me. She would not communicate anything about my labor progression and seems annoyed to be there. I also had a complication and she made a joke about it and I feel that she did not care about my health or my baby’s wellbeing. My husband and I were appalled by how she seemed to not care at all. She was missing several times when the nurses needed her and they ended up having to call the ER doctors to finish my treatment.

I've had the worst experience with Dr. Shaw; this is my first pregnancy and it has completely been hard enough dealing with high risk but she definitely made it harder by the lack of assurance of everything, by the horrible communication with her and the staff to make sure I had the proper medication, and very lackadaisical about anything with me. I was really hoping for better
