Amazing bed side manner, explains everything!
I had been suffering with acute laryngitis for 3 weeks. I scheduled an appointment on a Friday (in Westchase, FL) to see Dr. Thorwarth on Monday. When I arrived, the staff was very courtesy and I didn't have to wait long to see him. Only one other time in my 36 years I have a seen a doctor with such great bedside manner as Dr. Thorwarth. He had to stick a camera through my nose to my throat-- it hurt and I began to gag. He put his hand on my shoulder and told me I was doing great and empathized how terrible the procedure was for me. He prescribed me medication, he was very transparent about the side effects. We had an open discussion about it and he advised me to wait a week to see if my throat symptoms cleared up on their own and if they did not to take the medication. This something I rarely see doctors do. Most doctors try to push prescriptions on you and they don't tell you how the meds can harm you. I really appreciated Dr. Thorwarth's care; more doctors need to be like him.
