Very pleased...
Dr Sobel is a very caring doctor, he was very thorough, spent a lot of time with me going over everything. Before seeing him I was very stressed, after leaving it felt like a huge weight lifted off me, that a doctor knows and understands this horrific disease (LS) he was very gentle during exam and explained everything he was doing. I definitely recommend!!

Professional Liar
This doctor who does not deserve the title of being called such. The medical professional that Jefferson Health employs deserves to lose there medical license for doing exactly what the title above states LIAR also a negligent, pompous idiot. This office was recommended to me from another facility and wasn't even the doctor I was suppose to see. Was told by scheduling front desk or whoever claims to answer the phone to schedule with this doctor. Which brings up another disturbing issue how they almost sold Dr. Sobel to me. I had to deal with this office via portal messages to fix the lies that were put my medical chart. The lack of empathy, professionalism, disorganization this corporation shows is disgusting. To create such a problem when I came there for help and in turn was given unwarranted stress. To add insult to injury was called multiple times from blocked numbers left messages to get me to make another appointment to fix their lies. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY HERE !!!

The specialist I have been searching a while for!!
Dr. Sobel is the first doctor to diagnose a painful condition that other gynecologists and nurse practitioners dismissed. This was an incredibly validating experience. He does not rush you through the appointment and is very thorough with his questions. He is extremely knowledgeable, educated on the relevant research, and makes himself accessible for questions on the portal. When problems come up or a treatment isn't working, he adjusts and makes changes to help you. I am very grateful I found him.

Dr. Sobel was my gyn specialist for 2yrs. I thought he was giving me great treatment for my concerns. I eventually learned that all of the symptoms I had were in fact leading me into early menopause at 32yr. I asked Dr. Sobel many times if I could be going into menopause? He assured me multiple times that I was not. I did not know at the time that there were many tests he should have been doing or other specialist he could have referred me to in order to know for a FACT that I wasn't. After having a scare with a cyst on my only ovary left, I requested a referral to save my eggs. He told me, I did not need to, I was fine. As if he knew this for sure & had done his best to have that response. I trusted him as my Dr. At this time, I said I want to do it anyway. He sent me to a specialist & they told me two weeks later that my numbers showed early menopause. I could not save any eggs. If Dr. Sobel would have listened to this Black woman 2 yrs prior, I would be in a different situation.

Irene Do not trust him – Jul 12, 2021

Dr. Sobel is a fantastic doctor. He is the first male GYN I have seen and he was able to diagnose a condition I have been suffering with for 8 years that my other GYNs and NPs brushed aside or did not follow up on. This was extremely validating for me. I will say, he is very hard to get a hold of through MyChart. This was such an issue for me, that I decided to try seeing another doctor. This negative experience made me realize how lucky I was to have Dr. Sobel, and I will be returning to him for my care going forward. He is compassionate, knowledgeable, he explains my condition throughly, and I never have felt rushed in our appointments. He takes his time and answers all my questions and explains my treatment plan as well as options for care if the current plan is not effective.

Dr. Sobel is not only a compassionate doctor, he is an engineering genius. This is the only doctor in my life that actually completed my treatment and discharged me after I am cured. I have had pelvic floor dysfunction, inflammation, pudendal neuralgia and many other symptoms around it which left me in absolute trauma for a long time. He spent long time with me in each visit to just listen, took notes, and then walked me through step by step explaining what might be happening and how he thinks would be the best approach to treat me. He educated me, counselled me and empowered me. He is the best gynecologist I have ever had. If I wouldn’t have to leave the state, I would have always been going back to him. He is the best!

Extremely unprofessional, does not listen to the patient at all, no empathy, relies on having at least 3 assistants in the room during traumatic exams. Completely traumatic experience with this Dr. and Jefferson did nothing to help. I am still in pain from this doctor over a year later. Should not be allowed to practice.

I traveled almost 4 hours from Virginia to see him, because every other doc near DC seems to not know anything about vaginas. He was so thorough and knowledgeable. He spent nearly 2 hours in my exam room assessing me. I am extremely grateful
