Excellent, top of his specialty!
What most impressed me was his overall demeanor and confidence. I had been to other doctors but never felt the sense that at my age (71) that this surgical repair would be the best answer. After my First visit with Dr Simovitch I was completely sold on the surgery and especially Dr Simovitchs skills. I had the surgery in November 2024 and I am now 7 week's post surgical and completing physical therapy. If you need shoulder surgery and looking for the top surgeon in this field look no further. Excellent bedside manner, will take the time needed to answer your questions. Also he has the best staff and assistants.

One of the best
I am an orthopedic surgeon and familiar with shoulder pathology and solutions. I put off having shoulder surgery for years, not wanting to take time off for work. When I was ready, and made an appointment to see him, he was extremely thorough, and in fact observed that my symptoms may have been more complex and he ordered tests to determine of cervical spine problems were contributing to the obvious shoulder rotator cuff pathology that was documented on MRI. His astute clinical acumen was responsible for identifying that in fact I had previously unrecognized neurosurgical issues that were confirmed after I was subsequently referred to a neurosurgeon. He then worked in conjunction with the neurosurgeon to optimize my recovery from these two issues. Dr. Simovitch did a rotator cuff repair with biceps tenodesis as an outpatient. The surgery was flawless and and I was impressed with before and after photos of the repair.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience...I am a health care professional...I waited 6 weeks for an appointment, I waited almost 2 hours past my appointment time...When I asked how much longer I was told to reschedule if I can't wait any longer. I told them I would leave and never reschedule. Please consider other shoulder specialists!

Missing the things that make a real doctor
I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. I have practiced in Florida for over 50 years. I went to see the doctor because of a problem with my shoulder he immediately recommended, a very extensive total shoulder replacement and then by mixing up his times and being gross inefficient and not at all caring about my needs . I then sought out the opinion of two very well known shoulder surgeon, another one in Florida and another one in Colorado both of whom told me I did not need the procedure that was recommended. I felt the same way since I have done this operation I am at what is supposed to be the best orthopedic hospital in the world I have had other surgeries done there as had my family but how this guy got in? But please stay away.

Very thorough, listens to his patients
Tries a conservative approach first if that doesn’t work uses other modalities and last option would be Surgery. Very qualified and compassionate physician and office staff

Great Outcome
Have had a distal biceps tendon repair on my L elbow and a rotator cuff repair on my R shoulder. Dr. S is as nice a person as he is competent as a surgeon. Having trained in Orthopedic Surgery, he is the best choice for injuries to the elbow and shoulders, by far!

After 50+ years of playing paddleball in NYC and Hollywood, FL, I developed, in both shoulders, bone on bone, arthritis and bone spurs. I was originally scheduled for a right Total Shoulder Replacement at HSS in NYC. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I decided to have it in Florida. I asked my NYC doctor for recommendations and one of them was Dr. Ryan Simovitch at HSS Florida. During my initial appointment, I found the doctor and staff to be not only professional but efficient. The surgery went without a hitch. The next thing I knew, I was in my Hospital room at Jupiter Medical Center and very hungry, not having eaten since the night before. I am, as I write this, 13 weeks post surgery. I have had ZERO pain and 12 weeks of Physical Therapy. I am looking forward to returning to my paddleball activities. But before I do, I am having the same surgery on my left shoulder next week, 14 weeks after I had the right shoulder surgery. Dr. Ryan Simovitch did such an outst

Exceptional Shoulder Surgeon. While I personally have not had surgery, I do treat his patients pre- and post-operatively. He is very honest and tries to find pain relief without surgery vs. only recommending surgery. Highly recommend.

Repaired my left rotator cuff and regained 100% function. I would recommend him to anyone. As far as the overall practice that is another issue. I paid all of my pt out of pocket and when they got reimbursed by my insurance I had a 2500 dollar credit which they refused to refund.

Dr Simovich is the best Dr I have ever been to . Takes time to listen to you . My surgery and recovery was 100 percent better than the last surgery I had for my other rotator cuff surgery . After surgery I've never had to take a pain pill I would recommend him to anybody .

Unimpressed. Although my symptoms have worsened, I'm having more pain, increased weakness, the radiology report for my body part and a second opinion have discovered a significant tendon tear, retraction and infection, Simovitch says I am fine and everything in the MRI is normal. For someone who treats athletes, he should have some clue that athletes know their bodies and when they have declining performance (can't lift a coffee cup to face), there's a problem. It would help if he cared more.

I had a total shoulder replacement in 2013 and not only did Dr. Simovitch take his time and answer all my questions, but he is also put my mind at ease. He is a very compassionate physician and I wish we had more doctors like him. I have 100% use of my shoulder now and am so grateful for his continuing care. I highly recommend Dr. Simovitch to anyone contemplating shoulder surgery.

Dr. Simovitch, first and foremost, is extremely competent at what he does. I can't imagine someone being better at it. Some of the reasons for that competence is where he got his formal education and where he did his residency. However, in addition to that, he appears to remain an ongoing student in pursuit of the best way to do the surgeries, which blockers to administer and why, which meds to use if patients have issues with certain ones, etc. Also, his communication skills are really superb

I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Simovitch for giving me my life back. He and his staff are the best. I had a total shoulder replacement done. I had suffered for years as it got worse and worse. I went to Dr. Simovitch who assured me if I followed what he told me and did the therapy prescribed I would get 90% use of my shoulder back which I couldn't imagine after having maybe 10-20% before surgery. 5 months later I have 90-95% back. I would sincerely recommend Dr. Simovitch. Thank you again!

I presented to Dr Simovitch with a catastrophic injury of my rt rotator cuff after a fall while hunting in Argentina. The extent of the injury required the expertise of the ultimate in shoulder specialist, and Dr Simovitch's correction of my injury reflected his truly superior surgical abilities. I have now regained essentially full function of what was a useless extremity prior to his reverse total shoulder replacement. BTW I am a retired physician with 40+ years of judging MD's!
