Dr.Shapiro was great he delivered on everything.
I had a cancer mass removed off my shoulder about the size of a football..Shapiro came in put a graft from my leg over it..had to move a muscle from my back to my shoulder..it was 3 different procedures in 1 surgery...he worked a miracle with me...I dont think any other surgeon in the world could have pulled off what Shapiro did..I required a flap so big i assumed it would look terrible regardless of who did it but it looks like it was painted on by the hand of God lol..he made everything look really easy..Thank you guys you did everything you told me you was going to do..1 year later I'm back working

Amazing Surgeon, and staff.
I wanted to take the time to write this review. When this surgeon talks to you, you are treated like his best friend and the most important person in the room. It's a breath of fresh air.Dr.Shapiro and Jasmine take ownership of their patients. They listen! I have had surgeons tell me, “I can't fix this; you will end up even more disfigured.” coming to him was a leap of faith. Dr.Shaprio is far from conceding; he has a matter-of-fact attitude and knows his craft. I had a terrible reconstruction done for my Bilateral mastectomy, and honestly, I was probably my previous surgeon, Ginny Pig. What Dr.Shapiro had to correct, three other surgeons said “No,” Dr.Shapiro is honest and understanding but factual. He is not going to beat around the bush. He isn’t going to give you false hope or misguide you. Dr.Shapiro changed my life for the better. He fixed my breast. This incredibly talented man brings fresh eyes and air to a traumatic situation.

Awful Experience
Dr. Shapiro’s priority is not his patient, but only his ego. Two days after surgery my mom found herself in the ER with an infection. Dr. Shapiro showed no accountability and was very condescending in our follow up appointment. We are six weeks post-op found ourselves back in the ER with an opened hole wound on her arm for a second time and still no accountability from Dr. Shapiro. He in fact refuses to see us again and we have had to go to a different practice. I would never recommend this doctor.

Awful Experience
Dr. Shapiro's priority is not his patients or their well being. Two days after surgery wound was infected and had to go to ER. Follow up appointment was 2 days after ER visit where he was very condescending and arrogant. Said he does this for a living and he is 'very pleased' with his work. He refused to see us again when it was time for the stitches to be removed and had his PA remove them to which the wound was not healed. Found myself in the ER a second time as he was not available for an appointment. I have a growing open hole wound on my arm. I would never recommend this doctor. He violates his own 'philosophy' and the University's code of Ethics.

Dr. Shapiro is amazing!!!
My husband saw Dr Shapiro after open heart surgery that resulted in infection and needed multiple surgeries over a year. Dr Shapiro has a great bedside manner and is very concerned about his patients. He called us at home many times to check on us. We would definately recommend him. We feel very blessed to have had him as a doctor.
