One of the best surgeons I've ever met.
I went to Dr. Carr because of a shoulder injury this phenomenal surgeon explained every option to me and when I chose from the evidence to go ahead and have a total shoulder he explained everything that was going to happen and it did from the recovery time, relative pain and how fast I would probably regain range of motion within limits of my new shoulder, he's been exactly right I compare this to the repair I had done to my right shoulder roughly 10 years ago no comparison he's friendly professional and not afraid to answer questions I have two surgeons that I have the ultimate respect for he is one in my cardiac surgeon is the other I recommend this phenomenal doctor anyone seeking second or first or even a third opinion he's honest and is open it's refreshing to find surgeon that doesn't talk down to you talks to you and most importantly listens to you. I highly recommend Dr. Ryan Carr.

I had a wonderful outcome from rotator cuff surgery. Dr Carr takes the time to listen to his patients which instills confidence that our needs are foremost in his practice. My rehabilitation, arranged by his attentive office manager Lori, went as Dr Carr said it would, easy.

A Gifted Surgeon
In 2020 I was involved in an extremely serious automobile accident, crushing the tibia and fibula in my left leg. My good fortune was that Dr. Carr was on call at the hospital, and he did a masterful job of putting my leg back together. My follow ups with him were all very informative and positive. He spent plenty of time during these visits listening to my concerns and explaining my path forward. I strongly recommend Dr. Carr.

Review for Dr. Ryan Carr
For this to be my first surgery ever I must say the process was seamless and seemed like it never happened. Each member of Dr. Carr's team made me feel like they were caring for a family member, every staff member provided A+ care, I felt no anxiety and was not nervous at all, even up to the point when I entered the OR, all I remember was having a plesent conversation with the staff members and then waking up out of surgery. Dr Carr is truly a master at his craft, and has an excellent team to compliment him, he was highly engaging pre and post operation and is always available when you need him, I would deem this team as leaders in the industry and would highly recommend this group as a 5 star provider, I hope I never have to get surgery again but if I do , I will surely return to Skyridge. Thanks again Dr. Carr and team!

I recently had a total knee replacement performed by Dr. Ryan Carr. I can say that I am very pleased to have Dr. Carr as my Orthopedic Surgeon and I have recommended him to many others that are in need of a wonderful physician and skilled surgeon . I have been under Dr. Carr's care for over a year now, he is very caring and attentive to all my questions and concerns that I have had. I love that he spends the time needed to explain my condition and my treatments available to me and when it came time for my total knee replacement at Sky Ridge Hospital, Dr. Carr was there before and after surgery to answer any of my questions I had regarding the procedure and the post recovery care needed. I am 5 weeks out since my surgery and doing well. I am looking forward to be able to do the things I haven't been able to do for the last year due to my pain and swelling.

Dr. Carr took my concerns and referred me to pt. I could not be happier with the care there! Dr. Carr is very bright and helped me feel better a lot quicker then I thought I would with this shoulder injury. He showed me how to do some exercises and stretches that have helped me with my pain.

My insurance referred me to Dr Carr. he ordered x-rays before the first visit. Knees have been bad for about 18 years, I had the left knee replaced Aug.5 and the right Oct.21, both at Arete Surgery Center. The follow up care from Dr. Carr is excellent, His manner is the best I have ever received. Both knees are rehabbing very well. Words can't express how happy I am with the outcome, movement I haven't had for years, able to walk again, ride a bike, ect. If your needing knee replacement surgery call Dr.Carr. I have pain and problems in both shoulders and he's the only Doctor I'll let work on me. VERY HAPPY

I had a terrible experience starting from his primary receptionist(Lori) promising to call for the first appointment. Things became worse from there. The receptionist couldn't answer questions pre surgery about covid rules and vaccinations. My wife had to call multiple times just to get basic answers about my surgery and the schedule for it. My after surgery care has been terrible. I was denied for any type of pain management after having rotator cuff surgery. They never sent the order for PT and it has been 6 weeks since my surgery (PT was supposed to start 2 weeks post op). I met with Dr Carr to ask for a referral for another surgeon even though I am only 6 weeks post op.

Dr. Ryan Carr performed two reverse total shoulder joint replacements on me. He assured me that I would be happy with the results and he was right. Eight weeks after surgery I was able to ride my bike again without pain, twelve weeks after surgery I was able to ride my snowmobile without pain, and six months after surgery I was on the golf course again. Dr. Carr provided a fantastic surgical experience and the results are astounding. I never imagined it would go so smoothly.

Dr. Ryan Carr treated me at Sky Ridge Hospital after I broke my humerus. I let him proceed with surgery on the arm without a second opinion. He gave me two choices, but I was on heavy pain meds so went with his suggestion to put in an intramedullary (im) rod into the bone, rather than fix with a plate with screws. After 5 months of non-union, pain and braces, I sought a second opinion from Steadman Hawkins (they stated they do not use a rod, but only would have used a plate), Over two years later the bone is still non-union (not healed). This long process caused that shoulder to become frozen; I overused the other shoulder and tore the rotator cuff and detached the bicep muscle. 27 months later I am still in PT for both shoulders with the possibility of surgery on both, and still the possibility of removing he rod. Because of all the releases and waivers that must be signed by a patient and the medical malpractice cap the state of Colorado has, litigation is not feasible. 0 Stars
