Patient centered care is lacking...
Ruth Wintz was the Nephrologist assigned to my family member during a hospital stay. Ruth bedside demeanor was cold & detached. Ruth does not truly care about ALL patients, take from that statement what you will. Ruth tried to use my family member for experimental treatment. When I, a healthcare surrogate declined such non-evidence based treatment, Ruth immediately removed herself from the care team because I 'didn't trust her judgement' for the experimentation. Thank GOD she did! My family member was given a choice & gained a wonderful Nephrologist with vast experience in extreme cases--- Ariel M. Velasco, he's one of the most humble human beings. I scored Ruth Wintz one star because the only thing she did right was dismiss herself from the care team.
