Dr. Ruth Celestin, MD

I can’t understand how you can never follow up with your patient post op. I had airsculpt lipo of my legs. The front of my legs have a distinct line of fat above my knees. If you are doing the front of your legs, why would you start in the middle? I now have dents I. The middle of my thighs with a distinct line where there is fat above my knees. She never showed for any follow up appointments and cancelled last minute in any others made. The office manager refuses to return calls and talk about it. Do not use her if you are expecting good results. Once she gets paid, that’s it!

BUYER BEWARE!!the only time you will see this doctor is during surgery. While in surgery, she gets interrupted a couple times by office staff asking questions right in the middle of the procedure. They walk in to what is supposed to be a sterile environment like it’s just another office in the building. I had my full legs done and left with scars in the middle of my thighs and fat pockets above my knees. No follow up with this doctor what so ever! 4 appointments made and she cancelled every single time!! No follow up from the office. They will ignore your calls. DO NOT USE HER if you are expecting the kind of results they promise or any kind of post op follow up. Once they have your money, that’s it. Very embarrassed by my results and now I have to find another doctor to fix what she left me with.

I do not write reviews often. A business has to be really good or really bad. In this case, Dr. Ruth Celestin Plastic Surgery is REALLY BAD. The first word that comes to mind is, "BEWARE!"I had a tummy tuck with drains.First, time I met Dr. Celestin was during my consultation. The last time I saw her was the morning of my surgery.  She was not there when I woke up nor was she at any of my follow-up appointments.  Too ashamed to show her face? I say this because of my experience during recovery and the botched job I received.  I In hindsight, Dr. Celestin was cheaper than the other plastic surgeons I met with for the same procedure. But as the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for." Even though I did not spend much money on the front end, I have had to spend money on the back end for post op care and I will have to spend money on revision surgery.  My belly button looks weird and I have a dog ear that needs to be removed. There were drains placed on my left and right hip which have left two dark scars. I wished that the Doctor had disclosed that I would have those two scars in addition to the tummy tuck and belly button scarring. I have friends that had the same procedure with different doctors and none of them have those scars. I assumed that I wouldn't either. My mistake for assuming and not asking enough/the right questions.At the beginning of my post Surgery visits, they were responsive. But I had serious questions about the swelling and lack of healing around one of the drains, my belly button and the several areas along my incision.  It looked as if the incision was coming apart! They never called me back for any follow up appointments beyond 4 weeks. Maybe they knew they had messed up and there was nothing more that they could do for me. Of course they had already been paid and I wasn't getting money back so what do they care if I'm happy with my results or not and healing properly? Thankfully,  I was able to find a  more experienced Plastic surgeon who was able to tend to the infected areas and my wounds closed in 2 weeks! So again I say, "BEWARE!" of Dr. Ruth Celestin. She did not give me the results that I was looking for and the customer service, compassion and post operative care that I deserved. Plastic Surgery is a serious procedure and I hope everyone reading this does not make the same mistake that I made. I do not recommend Dr. Ruth Celestin to any of my friends or family.

Dr. Celestin is wonderful. You can definitely tell that she loves what she does. She is engaging and will address any questions and concerns. I felt completely felt at ease and comfortable.

Dr. Celestin was awesome. She performed smart lipo and tummy tuck 1 month ago which has done a lot for my self confidence. Very professional, hospitable, and attentive. Dr. Celestin from the beginning to the end of the entire process was extremely thorough and informative. I would not change anything about my experience. I would recommend her to all of my family and friends.

Dr. Celestin performed liposuction on my arms, chin/jaw, abdominal area and flanks in 2014. She was kind and had a decent bedside manner. However, I am not happy with my results. I had an open mind during the healing process but did mention I was not happy with my arms in particular. I was praised for how ?good? it looked by the assistants and Dr. Celestin instead of confronted about the issue. Also, after my surgery the office staff was almost entirely replaced and the new staff was horrendous.
