Dr. Paixao has been my nephrologist for 15 plus years. I credit her for keeping me alive and not needing dialysis. She is very thorough, answers questions completely and will respond to calls (sometimes it’s one of her staff members) quickly. I could not recommend her more highly!

Rushed consultation
Dr. Paixao is not interested in her patients. I spent a total of 7 minutes in her exam room. She shouts, she does not speak, when she asked for the name of my orthopedist, I asked her to give me a moment to pull the information from my notes, immediately she proceeded to shout at me 'You don't know the name of your doctor?' She then proceeded to type some information on her computer and then she dismissed me. Avoid this doctor at all costs.

A doctor who really knows her stuff
I’ve been a patient for over 15 years she is absolutely amazing and knows her stuff I feel very secure about her medical decisions her staff is also amazing if you want a baby sitter she is not for you if you want a doctor to tell you straight how to help yourself and proper medications And tests to perform she is your doctor if you follow her decisions you will be hooked on her knowledge she is fantastic and will keep your kidney as healthy as possible I can’t believe some reviews here 10 stars for her

Very arrogant, does not show personal interest in the patient, not a good listener and I felt she was just rushing to finish with the consultation.

Dr Paixao is wonderful. She never rushes a visit. She is patient and always answers any question. She personally returns all my chart messages and or phone calls in a timely manner. She is also timely to follow up on any test results Or changes she may make to my treatment plan. She also has a great relationship/communication with my PD nurse which makes things much easier on me. I would highly recommend her-she is extremely good at what she does. Thank you Dr Paxiao-we appreciate you!

Dr. Paixao is only interested in money. Not your welfare. If your kidney is working, even a little bit ; then do not go to her. She will make sure you are admitted for a long time and lose your kidney, so that you are admitted again for kidney transplant sometime, so that she would make more money.
