Dr. Rupa Reddy, DO

I was referred to Dr. Reddy by a Providence NP after two visits because of an outbreak on my legs. When I first saw Dr. Reddy the outbreak consisted of little pin pricks. There was no itching or weeping. I was prescribed an ointment which after three days produced a very itchy blister. I stopped using it and when I went for my follow up appointment Dr. Reddy expressed that she wished I had called her. After looking at the site of the outbreak she suggested trying the same prescription again. I was reluctant to do so but I did. Within 3 days my legs broke out with an intense, inflamed, itchy rash. It was almost unbearable. I called Dr. Reddy and got ahold of her assistant who said she would relay the message. Dr. Reddy's response was 'OK'. I was not asked to come in so she could take a look at it. I got the impression that she really wasn't that interested. I am now seeking help elsewhere.

My previous dermatologist moved away and after reading that Dr. Reddy had a good bedside manner I decided to give her a try. I did not realize that she was with Providence which seems to be a large medical conglomerate like Kaiser. The whole environment was surprising since I thought I was seeing only one dermatologist. And it took me 4 months to get an appointment, then another 2 months for Mohs surgery. I found her professional, but she didn't say very much and answers to questions were brief as opposed to being warm and friendly. I had two Mohs procedures and was referred to a plastic surgeon afterward for one, but received no follow up care directions for the other, nor did I receive a 6-12 month follow-up appointment for skin cancer screening which had been the norm in all other dermatologists since I have had multiple BSC over the years.

Outrageous wait times. Expect to spend over an hour at the office each visit

Dr. Reddy has great a "bedside" personality... She makes you feel comfortable and is very thorough. She quite literally saved my life. She found Stage 0 melanoma. Thanks to her, I am free of melanoma. I fully recommend her.

I appreciated her calm and positive energy. She was very nice to us and her staff. We had a same day appointment for my son and she had to fit him into her already busy schedule and we did not feel rushed.

Office is clean and well maintained. Check-in was quick and short wait. Dr. Reddy was patient and knowledgeable. I took my daughter in for a rash she'd developed on her face. Dr. Reddy prescribed a cream and also recommend various over-the-counter meds that she could use to prevent future breakouts. She also took the time to explain potential side effects, frequency, etc. We drove quite a distance to see her and this was our first time, but it won't be our last. She was worth the drive.
