Dr. Rupa Fritz, MD

The Dr. and most of the staff have been pleasant. But 3 weeks after my procedure and having inquired about my results 2 times via their patient portal (which is what the office prefers over a phone message), the terse 1 or 2 sentence email replies from the MA stated that “the Dr. is out of the office and will read the results when she returns”. This is unacceptable to me. I’m very disappointed in the lack of prompt action and attention by the Dr. and in the lack of personal and proper communication from the office staff.

Dr. Fritz was really nice and took the time to explain things for me. I feel like she was just the tiniest bit rushed and was speaking a little fast but I was able to understand everything. I didn't have much of a wait, maybe 15 minutes? She also gave me a hug at the end of the appointment, which was very touching. She truly cares and does want to do right by you, as well as educate you on what she's thinking. I was worried there might be a long wait according to other reviews but this was not the case in my experience.

Thorough explanation of diagnosis and supportive follow up

Had been throwing up every day for 1 1/2 years I ended up in the Emergency room and my kidneys were shutting down she took me in for any EDG and not only found them problem but FIXED it. I now am eating like a champ and keeping EVERYTHING down! Dr. Fritz is my HERO!! THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY LIFE!!

I was left to wait in the small room for well over an hour with no one checking in the entire time. Check in was quick (except for multiple computer issues) and I went into the back room thinking this could be a quick consult to set up a procedure. I was told by the nurse that I was next in line for Dr Fritz. After a solid hour of silence, I went down to the front desk to ask if there was a delay and if I should reschedule. They called someone in the back only to be told that she came in and found the room empty, so she went to her next patient. I was at the front desk for a total of 90 seconds?? All in all, I missed 1 1/2 hours of work only to be told I've lost my place in line! Wow. If this is the kind of attention and care this office has for it's patients, there is no way I'd be willing to put my health in their hands. I'll gladly go to another doctor who has a practice that puts patient care first. Now let's see if they will refund the $100 they charged me for the appt.

I have been seeing Dr Fritz for MANY years. She took over when my other doctor, Dr Brown, retired. I was worried about seeing someone new but I soon fell in love with her. She has been so compassionate and kind, explains things in detail and always gets back with me in a timely manner if I contact her office. I will recommend everyone I know to her if needing a GI doctor!!

Doctor well meaning and seems to try. Will never wait over 1 hour for an appointment to see her. Second time this wait happened. Never an excuse for this. Did not give me a clear diagnose. I in fact came up with the idea of my pain and symptoms being a reaction to radiation treatment. Problem still present and unresolved.

I had two procedures done by Dr. Fritz. I found her to be incredibly compassionate, highly skilled, and very clear and concise in her explanations. She was willing to spend as much time with me as I asked/needed.
