Dr. Ruchita Amin, MD

Opthamologist referred me to Dr. Ruchita Doshi Amin through a perusal of the yellow pages. The problem was a torn retina. Dr. Amin saw me that same afternoon and said she repaired the retina with the laser.Following up with opthamologist it was found it was not done correctly. Opthamologist called Dr. Amin to take another look. Dr. Amin said there was nothing wrong with her work and it was done correctly. I sought a third opinion by a highly accredited eye specialist in retina-vitreous area and he said the surgery was not done correctly and that I had another tear. All of this occurred within a 2 month period. My opinion is if Dr. Amin could not see that she had done it incorrectly, she should not be doing these procedures. Also, if Dr. Amin saw that she had done the procedure incorrectly she should have had the integrity to fix it then and there . Either way ,this complaint represents a warning to anyone seeking repair of a torn retina by Dr. Ruchita Doshi Amin.

Best experience at an eye doctor's office ever! Have been to other retina specialist's offices several times over the past several years. Always feel like I'm in an assembly line for care. Staff has been cold and the doctor indifferent at best. By contrast, Dr. Amin and her staff are warm, friendly, polite, efficient and beyond competent. From the person at the desk, to the staff that dilated me, took pictures or assisted the doctor, I felt welcomed and cared for. Dr. Amin clearly sets the tone for the office as she is so personable. She is very knowledgeable, extremely compassionate and a great communicator. HIghly recommended.
