Dr. Chhibar was excellent to work with for my annual exam, vaccine updates. She was easy-going, polite, thorough, collaborative and has a nice sense of humor. I'm not sure about the really negative reviews here ... perhaps those people really did need to get off of years of pharmaceuticals and did not like hearing that. I had a great experience and will continue to see Dr. Chhibar.

Stay away! My GP retired and Dr. Ruchika S. Chhibar took over his patients in Marina Del Rey, CA. At my first appointment, in the first minute she took me off my treatment, saying "that is not how I do it" She referred me to see 3 different specialists and a Psychiatrist, because I was "Beyond Her Ability to treat" SOCaid several times that I can see another GP if I don't like her plan. She did not even try to treat me! Did not let me talk, despite my attempts to explain my symptoms!! Awful!

Did not help me when needed. Had to try to contact her 4 times and finally received a response. I am on medication and have been on my prescription for 22 years and she denied me and just said "find a psychiatrist".. Would not help me or give me a referral. I need my meds to survive daily and for a doctor to treat their patient the way she did, was unbelievable.. when I'm the one who pays her. She is undereducated when it comes to mental health and does not listen.

Dr. Chhibar is the best doctor I've ever seen. She listens to me and doesn't interject with a quick fix answer in the middle of it. She actually waits and weighs pros and cons with you and helps you decide if the treatment sounds good to you. And actually will physically check you. Maybe I've just seen so many horrible doctors from Sutter medical and other offices and specialists but she really raises the bar.

Has not familiarized herself with community resources right outside her office door and is misguiding patients. Was told that if you're on Medicare finding a psychotherapist will not happen and she would not make a referral, only offered prescription. Also, while tested negative for strep she offered yet another prescription for antibiotics.This Doctor does not listen, nor does she appear to care. Furthermore, she does not take responsibility for giving inaccurate information. BEWARE!!!!!!!!
