Terrible Doctor and terrible office staff
Impossible to get refills for necessary medication Dr Ali and her staff are terrible and do not consider the health of the patient. Can not get a call back after many many messages left with service about no medication on hand and a prescription needed. She will be reported to medical board of California for negligence.

Terrible Doctor terrible office
Terrible Dr do not waste your time. Cancels appointments constantly, and on same day. Does not do much of anything. I would highly suggest not to use this Do tor or office ever. Will regret it.

She prescribed me meds I didn't need
First, they couldn't schedule me until 3 months after my EEG. Then they called me a month before my apt. frantic and said they needed to see me by the end of the week. When I got there she told me my EEG was showing epileptic discharges (she didn't understand because my symptoms didn't sound like seizures) but told me I should start taking seizure meds. I asked for the original EEG which took them weeks (and hours of sitting on hold) to figure out how to put on a disk. I asked for a 2nd opinion which her manager declined. I then went outside of my insurance and had another neurologist interpret the EEG and he said it was normal - she was misinterpreting artifacts for discharges. I asked her to have another Dr. take a look at my EEG and she rolled her eyes and told me no one had ever questioned her interpretation before. Finally, she turned me over to a specialist who ran another EEG and confirmed no seizures. I would've had a diagnosis and been taking meds I didn't need if I listened

I would give ZERO stars, but that's not an option. My mom had been having some memory issues and a few hallucinations, and after a visit with her primary doc at Northbay Medical Center she referred us to Dr Ruby Ali. After an MRI, and based on Dr. Ruby Ali's clinical diagnosis she thought the diagnosis pointed to Lewy body Dementia or Parkinson's Dementia. She had absolutely ZERO bedside manner in delivering this news to mom and I, she then proceeded to prescribe 3 different drugs and then said see how you do on these drugs and come back in 6 months. Mom got progressively worse and passed 6 months later. She was VERY progressed in her dementia, which we had no idea about, and with that type of dementia had a life span of 5-7 yrs.  Dr. Ruby Ali NEVER told us how progressed in her disease she was, nor what to expect, how to prepare, offered any advice, NOTHING. Just a drug prescription and sent us on our way.  AVOID DR. RUBY ALI IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONES.

Misgendered me several times, blamed my symptoms on HRT. Always too busy to listen. Reasons for my symptoms changed with every visit. Strung me along without offering any treatments or therapies. Acted like it was all my fault. Do not recommend.

She was thorough on the first visit, gave helpful suggestions. 2nd visit, I handed her notes she said she wanted me to keep and without looking at them handed them back and said "what's this?", said she didn't need them. We asked what we could do to aid recovery...she just shook her head. I asked about various therapies she said they didn't exist. My PCP ended up prescribing them. 3rd visit--arrived early, waited an hour. She said, after starting, "oh by the way sorry I'm late I had stuff"
