Despite arriving 15 mins late to my appointment, Dr. Yen took another patient and refused to see me. This incident has severely undermined my confidence in Dr. Yen’s care.

Wanted to schedule a colonoscopy on first visit for acid reflux. Then gave me a special diet that included tomatoes which are one of the most common foods to avoid when you have acid reflux. It was like he didn't even listen to me when I told him why I was there. Extremely disappointing and a waste of time.

First, it took over a month to get an appointment to see him. When i did get to see Dr. Yen, the sequence of events was as follows. Dr. Yen wears a pair of purple gloves sits next to his computer. Ask me preliminary questions on my symptoms. Without even a cursory examination of my hemorrhoids, suggests colonoscopy and talks about the procedure for the next 10 minutes. Asked me to scheduled the procedure, took out his gloves and sent me a $230 bill. Just stunned to say the least.

After being dropped it seems that Dr Yens only concern is scheduling expensive colonoscopies. Good luck with maintenance appointments or getting a callback from his assistant. if you are seeking a compassionate or empathetic Dr, look elsewhere.

Dr. Yen can do a routine colonoscopy, but if you need follow up care it may take months to get a follow up appointment. Not my idea of good care.
