Wonderful PC to Us, Family, Friends
My husband and I have seen Dr. Lackey for many years. We have also brought my elderly uncle and mother-in-law to him, and recommended him to neighbors, colleagues, and friends. Every one of us has found him extremely knowledgeable, meticulous, efficient, and caring. Even through the Covid era, and a very difficult period of office under-staffing, he remained on top of things and immediately accessible in person, by phone, and by portal messaging. I have a serious illness, and need a PC who is equally serious and well-informed. I would not want to work with any other doctor.

He's not God.
Dr. Lackey basically after reviewing my chart said he didn't know what to do? He refused to refer me to another doctor who could help me. Then said "I'm not God" and left me in the room after he said "I can't help you." He was rude, and I was pretty disturbed by his demeanor. I do not recommend. I've seen my fair share of doctors, and can pretty much say that was the craziest appointment I've ever had with a doctor.

It grieves me to leave this review about a physician I had trusted for over a decade. At every visit he was attentive, detailed, never rushed, respectful. He always had time for detailed explanations about my health to my wife (a bio-medical professional). Every single referral was to a world-class pro. But then, during a July 2020 visit, something was "off," and he ordered a test about which he did not inform me in advance. In other words, I did not have the chance to give informed consent, or have knowledge of why he was performing this test. This was a crisis in our relationship, from which he recovered brilliantly. But months later there was an email exchange in which he treated me as an idiot, replying to a simple question with "??" Yes, that's the entire message a physician sent to a long-time patient who had allowed them to recover from error. In my reply I said, "Let's take a breath here." His response was hostile. I could no longer trust him. Something has happened to this f

It's like he goes through the motions but he doesn't really care about you. He misdiagnosed me and was rather nasty afterwards.

Terrible PCP, avoid at all cost. Extremely detached and dismissive at every visits. I finally stopped going in for routine check-up altogether. The final straw is when he refused to prescribe a COVID test for me and my wife that was crucial in order to be repatriated to France. He pretended that he had not seen us for too long and we were no longer his patients.

Very rushed, detached, and dismissive; he was my PCP for a number of years due to a referral from a highly respected colleague, and I thought he would become more engaged the longer you were stayed with him as a patient. The final straw was during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when he dismissed my symptoms (without allowing me to even explain my symptoms) and told me it was 20% chance I had it. A week later including a near-fatal ER visit a nasal swab later - positive.

Didn't pay much attention, seemed detached. Bad referral, PT specialist's phone was disconnected. Dr. Lackey performed wax removal on both ears, the next morning I woke up with both ears bleeding. Had to go to the emergency room. He damaged both ear canals. I left Dr. Lackey a message - he never returned my call. Something is very off with him. I would strongly discourage anyone from becoming Dr. Lackey's patient.

Dr. Lackey has been our family doctor for years and we recommend him highly. Although he may seem laid back during routine physicals, he does "know his stuff." We have been VERY happy during several different times when we actually had problems; he immediately figured out which subspecialists we needed to see to get help and made it happen quickly.

Cursory, not thorough, annual physical examination. No EKG, no exam of ears, eyes, nose, throat, etc. Total time: maximum 20 minutes including taking brief history. Dr. appeared detached. He walked out after exam with no opportunity for review or feedback. No post exam follow up either in the office or by phone or email. I was advised when I called for blood test results he doesn't call patients unless there is a problem. Cost for physical: $600+ plus $300+ for vaccine shot.
