Dr. Roxanne Lim, MD

Last year I had my first colonoscopy because cancer runs in my family and when I met with Dr. Lim, she was funny and the way she was talking about some other issue I addressed, she made me feel at ease and very comfortable! She did recommend a colonoscopy (47 years old) - at the time of my colonoscopy, I did wake up briefly during the procedure, but didn't bother me, but afterwards I felt like nothing even happened, my husband was very surprised of me walking out just as I walked in! Whatever they use to put you to sleep, is the best way - I felt great afterwards, I didn't feel groggy, like my husband usually does (different doctor), I will def go see her again! Thank you Dr. Lim!!!!

She understands our GI issues, explains, and Does follow-up.

She is knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. I met her at Hoag ER and she was the only GI that worked hard to find some resolve to my issue. I stuck with her post being released and her office was helpful and had a good follow through. She was there for me and cared. She was able to help provide a quick referral due my more advanced issue. I would highly recommend her.

Excellent doctor. I highly trust and recommend her. She is really nice and makes you feel comfortable. I'm thankful to have found a great doctor like her.

I have the premium insurance plan at my firm. Last year (March 2020) I chose Roxanne Lim to treat me for some stomach issues as she was in network. She set me up for a routine Endoscopy. I showed up for the endoscopy and had the test performed. This is when all went horribly wrong! I was send a bill for thousands. After researching, I come to find that although Dr. Lim was within network, where she performed the Endoscopy was not in network. This was never told to me. I was charged for my in network deductible and my out of network deductible for the same doctor. Every Dr and insurance agent I spoke to about this said this is HIGHLY unethical for a doctor to do. How was I supposed to know that where they told me to go was out of network. I guess I should have asked before the Propofol kicked in? If you go to a doctor within network, you would think they would ensure where the procedure is done is within network as well. After looking at the doctors other review, it seems I am not the

Excellent! I went to Dr. Lim for a 2nd opinion about a recurring polyp. She took it out and is closely watching me through more frequent colonoscopies to make sure it is gone. She calls me for reassurance and has an amazing knowledge and professionalism. I am very confident of her abilities and she has become my regular GI doctor. Thank you Dr. Lim!

Dr Lim does not follow up or seem to care. Referred to her for severe abdominal issues. She recommended colonoscopy. Did that, didn’t show anything. She didn’t follow up - just sent a huge bill.

Really two-faced. Her voice with her staff and with her patients is completely different. I had a prescription bottle in my purse and she yanked it out without asking and proceeded to ask me why I had it and told me it was not a good medicine for me to be taking. But she had prescribed it at my last appointment. So rude and horrible memory.
