Excellent Primary Doctor
He is very caring and skilled - he picked up on a subtle change in my bloodwork that he thought may not be anything - but it lead to a timely referral to rule out a bigger issue.Turned out that I had been undiagnosed for that issue for a long time. Thanks to Dr Chavez I am getting treatment when it might have remained undetected for many years. He is an intelligent and experience doctor and I would highly recommend Dr Chavez

Good doc
Dr Chavez was my doctor when he practiced in NYC and I miss him! He is genuinely humane and caring. He did a good job of persuading me to take cancer predisposition in my family a lot more seriously. I am now big on screenings lol. Thank you!

Dr. Chavez is a good doctor, however after two years of having him as my primary doctor, I have been able to see him in person just one time. His appointments, I'm told, by one of his staff, is backed up three to four months. What good is having a doctor that you unable to see when you're in need. This early summer I had a rash, and was told that I couldn't see him until October. Was I to scratch my self for three months? If you need a DR. who is easy to see when you're seventy five years old, he's not for you!

Worst doctor ever. Belongs in jail and license removed. Refused to continue with my add/hd and narcolepsy medication. Took me off cold turkey sent me into deep depression, anxiety and suicide thoughts. Then refused to refill simple Xanax script I was prescribed after 9/11. He’s smug, arrogant and has a horrible personality. I’m lucky to be alive. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! You’ll regret it. There are way better doctors in nyc. New Jersey be careful as he’s coming for you.

Dr. Chavez reinstates my trust in medical profession and the spirit of healing by which our young physicians are- or should be- trained for. Beyond the basic duties of taking notes and ordering tests, there lies the important unspoken language of caring which when communicated to patients, makes a physician a healer, a confidant and someone who instills hope in the people of a community. I feel blessed to have known Dr. Chavez.

I had an older internist whose experience was hard to replace. When an insurance change forced me to find a new PCP, I met Dr. Chavez. Despite being younger, he has shown an amazing breadth of knowledge. Advances in medicine require an internist to know something about everything, which is why fewer medical students dare to become generalists. Dr. Chavez can handle most questions, but doesn't hesitate to refer you to a specialist. Despite packed schedule, he responds promptly to questions.
