Empowerment
I love Dr. Carr, and I have a hard time with doctors. She is everything you'd want in a doctor: she listens, she's very well informed about the latest trends through her research, she was able to explain my situation to me and made an important referral to a cardiologist. She approaches things from an interdisciplinary viewpoint. Metabolic disease has so many components and I have overlapping issues that span traditional medical specialities (many patients with NASH do). Nobody was tying it all together for me, and meanwhile I just kept getting further along in disease. She empowered me by helping me see and understand my situation. Now I am able to make informed decisions about my lifestyle. I really can't recommend her enough.

Dr. Carr is a very thorough doctor who is able to provide more of an all around healthcare experience by drawing from her time spent in internal medicine in addition to her GI and Hepatology training. Her soothing yet reassuring personality and excellent bedside manner are icing on the cake.
